TANYA LEIGH DESIGNZ FAIRYTALE CHRISTMAS - NOVEMBER 2019 RELEASE

Hey there! Thought I'd pop in & show you some of what I've been creating using

the latest digital kit - A FAIRYTALE CHRISTMAS -  from TANYA LEIGH DESIGNZ.

I really love this one!

First I made a really simple project. Some note cards, which I am always using in

my Happy Mail:

Then I created some Happy Mail, in a folder format, using lots of the A4 papers 

and images in the kit:

Lastly, I created a Pocket Letter, using a Project Life plastic sleeve. I kept this one flat

as it's going overseas, and postage is HORRENDOUS if things are not flat!

The kits are great value at only $5 NZ - and there are images, papers as well as Christmas mini words.

NOVEMBER 2019 KRAFT PLUS CHALLENGE ~ FLOWERS

Hey there! I'm excited to share with you our KRAFT PLUS challenge for this month:

I decided to do something a little different this month, so created a Travellers Notebook back-to-back page.  This TN comes from The Stamp Spot, and they have lovely TNs that have a clear plastic pocket alongside the usual blank white pages. This spread went into the pocket, but I've taken the photos outside so there's no glare.

OCTOBER KRAFT PLUS CHALLENGE ~ MOOD BOARD INSPIRATION

Hi there!

Well, it's October and KRAFT PLUS have a really inspirational 'photo' challenge this month. I love these sorts of challenges, as you can basically interpret them however you want!

The mood board made me think of leaves. I wonder why, LOL! I pulled out the orange and the black tones, found a cool internet quote and incorporated the graphic lines from the door into my Mixed Media background.

We don't have heaps of autumnal colour here, on the coast in NSW, but there are a few bigger, older trees down on 'The Green', at our retirement village, & I just ADORE the intense colour of their foliage. So I had to scrap them! Love how the sun was setting through them, too.

KRAFT PLUS CHALLENGE ~ SEPTEMBER 2019

Hey there! Our Challenge over at KRAFT PLUS this month is a little 'out there' - but I LOVED doing it! I hope you do too:)

I took the colour red, and found a magazine flower [Flow mag, I think?] which I fussy cut and made the centrepiece.... then I really loved the typography, so did 'block lettering' like the mood board, on my long title:

 I coloured the wood veneer with red, to blend...

FYI - those alphas? From 2013. Hah! Just goes to show, sooner or later, the stash will get used up;) As you can see, I had to mix them ~ always run out of some letters I need. Always. Annoying much! However, this worked just fine:)

AUGUST KRAFT PLUS AUGUST 2019

Hey there!

This month is a really interesting challenge from KRAFT PLUS.

Being a 'Ma' to 3 boys [& one on the way!], I had lots of photos, but ended up going with this one:

 You can see why, eh? Couldn't go past this one! 

 I have a pile of 'post it note' flags. I think they're from Maggie Holmes? And I'm trying my best to use 'em up - so I've got quite a few on this page!

 Gotta love a cluster of embellies;)

Lots of splodges and splashes, to create some interest on my background... I dunno what the actually MEANS. But it sounds good, eh? I think I was just bored with plain Kraft, to be honest.

ARTASTIC CHALLENGE ~ JULY 2019

Hi there! I thought I'd join in with ARTASTIC this month:

The criteria is to use PAINT. So I 'dry brushed' the background, and also used a white paint pen around the edges of the page, and the photos:

I've also tried to use the natural greens, and yellow tones with that 'rusty' colour from the painting. Here's some close ups:

GUEST DESIGNER for 'Tell Us A Story' ~ July 2019

Hi there!

As you know I'm a keen follower of the CSI Challenges. What I didn't know is that if you used their sketch over at CSI in May, you got the chance to be selected as a Guest Designer at TELL US YOUR STORY blog.

So, I did & I am!

Here's this month's sketch, if you want to check it out. The only other stipulations are you MUST have a TITLE & JOURNALING:

And here's my take:

I used vellum for the moon, & was pleased that it had stars on it... worked well with my story!

Some closies:

I used a PL card for the journaling:

 The background is distress inks sponged onto the background, then splattered with water. After that I added black ink with a stamp that looks like ink splotches:

 A few die cut shapes, enamel stars.....

 ...and word stickers!

All done.

It was so nice to be asked to GD. I'd forgotten what a BUZZ it is to be acknowledged with my scrapping, LOL!

KRAFT PLUS CHALLENGE ~ JULY 2019

Hey there! This month KRAFT PLUS has a bit of a different challenge:

Oh my! There is so much you could take from the Inpsiration board here.

I went with the jewel tones and a bit of jewel sparkle with the gold washi
and glittery alphas:

I do adore working with washi tape!
The black arrows & photo matting reflect the kohl around the eye of the girl in the graphic.

I love how our K+ challenges are completely open
to your interpretation. Anything goes, as long as it's on Kraft.
Gonna let you into a little secret. Below, a Traveller's Notebook spread,
is the first project I did for this challenge. Not too hard to
guess what I forgot to make sure I had included, eh?
But still and all, I do LOVE this spread, so I'm including
it here just so's I can show it off!!!

The locators are all individually stamped & gilded with a gold pen.
Such a SHAME I forgot the Kraft, eh? LOL! Oh well!!!
