CHALLENGE YOURSELF - JULY 2020

Hey there!

Today I actually SCRAPPED! I managed to do 2 challenges. This is the one from CHALLENGE YOURSELF:

I really, REALLY enjoyed making this one & doing the journaling.

It was a good day & I actually like my photo. And we all know that's a rare thing indeedy, to like a photo of ourselves!

I also joined MORE THAN WORDS. Here's their challenge:

So, as you can see, this is about 'my grand boys' and how they are moving overseas soon, for a minimum of two years. I will miss them a LOT!

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed seeing some challenge scrapping for a change

SCRAP THE GIRLS ~ JULY 2020 ~ 'Totally Sweet'

Good day my friends! This month you'll need your sunglasses for our yummy ['scuse the pun] SCRAP THE GIRLS challenge board:

This challenge is so up my alley! I just adore the bright colours and actually really love how they are stacked up on the colour board. That made me think perhaps that was a starting point for my LO.

I grabbed some washi, and started 'stacking it up'!

Luckily I had this photo from the Berry Farm, which worked in well for using the name of the challenge as the title on my page. High five!!

The brad above I've had in my stash for ages, & I even found some strawberry stickers.

I  love my washi tape, and I was so pleased to be able to use some strips of it on this page.

JULY CHALLENGE ~ KRAFT PLUS ~ SHAKESPEARE

Yup! Strange as it may sound, this month's KRAFT PLUS CHALLENGE involves The Bard:

I decided to go with a quote - since Shakespeare basically has quotes on practically everything!

I've also utilized the mustard and orange tones from the inspiration picture, as well.

JUNE SCRAP THE GIRLS CHALLENGE ~ IT'S A SKETCH!

Hey there! This month over at SCRAP THE GIRLS, we have a SKETCH challenge.

Remember, this is just a guideline, to get you started. Feel free to interpret the sketch however you fancy:

I do adore it when Tom's grand girl pops up photos of HER daughter. Holly absolutely adores riding, and I was more than happy to document this love!

The only thing I've changed is the title and journaling, which are in the space where that balloon cluster sit on the sketch.

 That cloud washi - I love it! I have joined 'SWAP BOT' and do a few swaps over there - mostly tea and washi ones. 

 These alphas are from 2012. That's CRAAAZY! About time they were used.

KRAFT PLUS CHALLENGE JUNE 2020 ~ IN THE NAVY....

As in, this is a COLOUR challenge. Here's why I refered to 'navy, LOL:

I wanted to do something different for this month's KRAFT PLUS CHALLENGE,

so I created a Flip Folder out of a TISSUE BOX for some Happy Mail.

I'm a great proponent of 'happy mail', which is basically sending some craft goodies and a note to people who you know like that sort of thing.

Anyways, here's what I used:

And here's the end result. I was really pleased at how this turned out. It gives you a buzz

to create something from what is, essentially, rubbish!

 It's a 'flip' folder, with tucks and pockets. I even cut a slit in the top R photo with the yellow wax seal, so that I could tuck in the flap that holds a letter behind it.

The front was where the tissues came out. I've added clear acetate to create a shaker for added interest.

This was an absolute joy to create!

Remember, with our KRAFT PLUS challenges, you can be as creative as you want and make any type of paper creation - as long as the basis is of Kraft!

SCRAP THE GIRLS ~ MAY 2020 ~ "It's in my Soul"

Hey there! Another month and another gorgeous challenge from SCRAP THE GIRLS:

I really love the "Boho" vibe. I've taken the colours, the dream catcher and the idea of crochet, which let me to doilies, to create my page:

Here are a few close-ups:

 I was gifted these feathers, originally cream and white. I've altered them with ink to blend with the inspiration board.

 The butterflies were also a present....but I had to fussy cut them out! Hard work, that;)

MAY KRAFT PLUS 'PAPER CUTS' CHALLENGE 2020:

This was TRULY a challenge for me. It involves fussy cutting. As you guys would know, that is my least favourite thing in the world.

However, I must admit that in the end I both enjoyed the cutting and even more the result!

Here's May's KRAFT PLUS CHALLENGE board:

And here's what I created:

 Yes, those butterflies and all the flowers were fussy cut from patterned card stock...

This Kraft paper was a pad, as I'd run out of the card stock and couldn't find any - so this was at Spotlight on sale, and I really liked it. So in the end, that was a  win-win situation!

APRIL 2020 SCRAP THE GIRLS CHALLENGE - ADVENTURE TIME!

Hey there, I was immediately attracted to our challenge over at SCRAP THE GIRLS this month. I hope you are too!

The overarching theme is "LET'S BE ADVENTURERS".... 

This is what I created:

As you can see, I took both the colours and the idea. Trinity had put up a short video of her daughter jumping into the pool, so I created a series of still photos from it. I LOVE how it turned out.

My title is a reflection on the idea of adventuring:)

 Doilies....flowers....washi.... what's not to love, eh?!!!!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up for in this month's SCRAP THE GIRLS challenge.
