THE STAMP SPOT CT - WEEK ONE - '9'

Hey there! Here I am with my 1st CT project for THE STAMP SPOT.
It's centred on the idea of 'NINE', as that's how long Michelle has been running her store. I think that's well worth celebrating!
I took the idea and applied it to the number of photos I used in the clear pocket. To give some 'interest', I've fused around the photos, then filled the empty spaces with a SEQUIN MIX available in her shop... she has yummy mixes she blends herself.
The whole premise of this page came about because I did the ALI EDWARDS  'Pieces Of Me /Us' project earlier this year, where we spent a week sort of examining our life's little moments through pictures of ourselves.  Ali Edwards has very clever and thoughtful scrapping ideas, I find.
Right, enough chit chat. Here's what I did!

I backed off the photos with designs from my digital Project Life App from Becky Higgins. LOVE that program! Especially for creating collages.
The butterfly came with some happy mail I received, and I thought it worked perfectly here.
That's it for this week - I'm posting weekly on this one for a few months, so I hope that in some way, this gives you inspiration for things that might be worth thinking about scrapping yourself.
Stay safe, everyone, as this COVID-19 business seems to be flittering its way into our lives,
Cheers & happy scrapping ~ Lizzy H xoxo

THE STAMP SPOT - NEW CREATIVE TEAM MEMBER!

I'm really excited to announce that I'm on the new Creative Team for THE STAMP SPOT, an Australian small business that creates bespoke Pocket Page Notebooks {PPN's}...

Pocket Page Notebook
I've been using these notebooks for a few years now, and can completely guarantee their sturdiness, their nice thick pages [for stamping and lettering] and the idea of a plastic pocket on each page has always been the thing I LOVE best of all:

Just adore the different ways to use the clear plastic pockets!

Of course, these THE STAMP SPOT PNN's are great for all kinds of documenting and memory making.
I'm on the team for 12 weeks, so I'll be sure to show you what I get up to!
Cheers for now & Happy Scrapping ~ Lizzy H xxoo

SCRAP THE GIRLS ~ MARCH 2020 ~ BLOOM FROM WITHIN...

Hey there! This month's challenge for SCRAP THE GIRLS is a really interesting one:

Now, I'm not really into skulls and hearts [except pretty ones!], so I looked for the
pretty elements in the mood board and went with them. Flowers featured, winks:)

I actually drew and coloured in the flowers free hand. That was a challenge!
I've stayed with the red and black colours and used the challenge title as a bit of a pun in my title.

I do hope you get a chance to join in with this month's SCRAP THE GIRLS challenge.
There is lots more inspiration over at the blog!
Cheers ~ Lizzy Hill xo

STAMP TIME @ KRAFT PLUS!

Hey there scrappy friends!
This month, KRAFT PLUS has a very interesting and [for me] slightly more challenging challenge than usual:
When I thought about it, it was actually easier than I'd first imagined. I haven't the skills, or imagination to create my own stamps - good luck if you have! So, instead, I grabbed some things sitting on my scrap desk: a paper bag, a washi tape roll [and yes, I'd actually USED all the washi tape!], and the base of an egg cup that I use to store little hearts and stars in.
Here's what I created:
And here's my stamp enablers, LOL!
A few closeups:
I smashed on the white ink with the paper bag, then heat embossed over the top with clear embossing powder. It's a great story, the 'dance' that Wally and Tom perform every night!!
I kept the 'palette' fairly neutral, so the stamping wasn't 'lost' on the page.
Got those little vellum stickers from Ali Express. I've just discovered that website and it's downright dangerous. Fun, too...
The last photo shows a close up of the scallop edge stamping I did with the egg cup and the washi roll. In the end, this was a great challenge - I hope you can join in this month with KRAFT PLUS!
You can link either on the FACEBOOK page, or the BLOG.
Cheers, Lizzy xo
