The Birthday Boy:

Our youngest [atm!!] Grand Boy turned one in February.
This one's for him!
Ollie loves his food. So I figured it was 'right' to capture him
eating these birthday treats:)
I have had this sheet of Little Yellow Bicycle pp since I STARTED SCRAPPING!!!
Loved the animals along the bottom. So, I added the parcel [acrylic from Scraptastic]
& flair [Freckled Fawn, I think?? Very Old, too!].
The elephant above was cut from Kaisercraft patterned paper with my Brother
Scan'N'Cut machine. That made it easy!
I also created a stencil with my machine, then used Stampin' Up ink
through it to create those background triangles. Some I outlined to make pop a bit.
And the arrow and wood sun are Cocoa Vanilla
It makes me feel GOOOOD to mix old stuff with new!
There are a pile of rub ons all over the show. A win from ARCHISCRAPS
challenge.....they are October Afternoon & the BEST I've used in ages. They
went on soooo easily:)
Decided the plain wood camera from Happy Scatters needed some 'extras'.
So, added the rub on 'life', the enamel dot, the flair from APOCD [no longer around,
sadly ;(] & the 'happy' is Cocoa Vanilla. Oh! And that tab is Studio Fourteen 40. YUM!
The camera is strategically placed to cover a little
girl who was taking the focus of the photo off Ollie!!
More rub ons to the right of the photo of Ollie scoffing his cake!
And the little giraffe is a die cut from Provo Craft. I was lucky to
see a local scrapper was 'destashing' and it came in a little animal set,
which I really, really love:)
Lastly a closie of all those rub ons. That was FUN!!!
Bet you've got some of them lurking in the darkness of your stash.....
g'arn! Get 'em out....USE 'em!!!!!
Cheers for now, Lizzy ♥♥♥

Some Ideas for boxes over at OFF THE RAILS & a CCC card:

Hey there!
I'm a keen up-cycler if it's of  'useful' things. And boxes are all sorts of useful,
in my book!
So for my TUTORIAL over at OFF THE RAILS this month I show
you some of the useful boxes I've created, if this idea floats your boat,
pop on over for a look-see....

Meanwhile, I FORGOT about sharing my CCC  swap card.
This went to GRETA in the USA & it was based on
the sketch for the month:
The flower actually came off the box that held a bunch of flowers
my DH gave me for our wedding anniversary. Everything's up for grabs
when you're a scrapper, right?!!

Quite a time ago, as in 2015, I was THRILLED to get
my LO accepted for the cover of Scrapbooking Memories
magazine. You can see it on the sidebar, but I thought, since
I was having a 'clean up' - I should change this post from 'draft'!
Here is my page:
Oh, I soooo enjoyed using these colours. And I sooo enjoyed doing this bg
Acrylic paint on gesso....then some embossed silver,
with some stamping, using some 7 Dots Studio stamps.

For this little trooper, life REALLY does begin at 5!!!!
 Some of my bg work.......
Dusty Attic flowers....glitter tape from American Crafts...
Thanks for all your lovely comments & kind words:)
Blessings ~ Lizzy xo

OFF THE RAILS: Colour it up!

With WATERCOLOURS....that's our challenge at
OFF THE RAILS this month. Along with this inspiration board:
I took the blues and pinks from the board. And had FUN!
This is my step grand girl. Such a SWEETIE:)
A 'FEED YOUR CRAFT' flair beside an old, rusted 'swee't one,
but hey! It looks OK I reckon:) I've got tissue paper behind the water
colouring to give some texture. Used water colour pencils.
Thanks Cheryl O'B!
And then added some stenciling & lots of stamping. Little beads etc
Those felt flowers are very very old! But I am STASH BUSTING
this year. So feeling good they've been used!
I didn't have the right alphas left except for the 'A'. The 'Ls' are upside down
7s. The G is a 9. the O's are Q's. The D is a P cut down....
 And, I know....at last...but I figure if you're in a hurry you
have the scroll down button. And it's how they downloaded.
And today I was being lazy!!!
Thanks for checking this one out. If you haven't had a go at
water colouring. Now's your chance. Use clear or white gesso on the bg
before you start - gives you a great base so your card doesn't warp
too much, too...
Cheers ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

We live near the water. It's a BIG part of our life. And here's Ollie
having a wonderful time in it:)
For this page I got out a stencil from A TIME TO CREATE, some Atelier
moulding paste and some ink sprays.
And LOTS of rub ons. Some from my win at ARCHISCRAPS.
Some from in the cupboard!
Plus some COCOA VANILLA die cuts - the beauty of these is you get
LOTS for your money...the cute flair is from MITRA....I think it's
And a closie of that cute puffy sticker 'banner':
Added some stars, some enamel dots...
A lovely Cocoa Vanilla flair. Fitted the theme to a tee!

TIME TO CREATE [beaut online shop!!!]

Sunday, 10 April 2016

G'day! It's time for our new LESSology challenge.
Have you ever decorated an envelope?

Or maybe it's something you like doing?
Either way, we'd love you see your take:)

Now, I know you won't be freaked out by me starting a Christmas
project.... and I wanted to go TOTALLY recyclable this time round.
So I found an old K-Mart sales 'junk mail' catalogue.
Decided I'd do an image transfer of this Chrissy tree.
Ooops! Didn't work....paper too thin..so changed tack, & decided on a
mosaic idea. I layered lots of little bits of paper. A bit fiddly, but fun!
Three layers later:
I found another star to pop on this one.
Fussy cut a tiny deer out & added him:
Cut my 'to' out of this:
And cut some baubles from these. But I backed 'em onto cardboard
to make them a bit easier to cut:
And finally, the chevron placemats looked like washi tape to me!
Somewhere in there, I thought about Klimt...& whilst the glue
was still wet on the tree, tossed on some embossing powder in
gold glitter. Then added some Inka Gold.
So, here's what it looks like all decorated up:
Oh! I added glitter to the baubles. Of course ;)
And some stamping on my 'washi'!!
The back I also added some 'faux' washi & that's about all:
I'm sorry for all the photos....but I was so excited to get the brain
thinking about different ways of using junk mail, giggles;)
Thanks for looking & we'd love to see your prettied-up envelopes
Cheers for now ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

Scrapbooking Memories Magazine LO:

I am VERY bad at remembering what I've had on my blog
regarding LOs that get accepted for our local Aussie Scrapbooking
Memories magazine. I THINK I had this one up briefly,
but I'm not sure! So roll your eyes if you've seen it & be glad
Old Age forgetfulness hasn't struck you yet!
And here is the whole page:
LOL....bg stamps, layered with other stamps, then rub-ons and finally some die cuts etc.
The only things NOT Kaisercraft are the ink, Glimmer Glaze and pen.
I had fun 'creating' the 'love' clocks:

And the fussy cut frame worked well with the saying:

And the squirrel had me squealing with delight - he's so old, but still, oh-so cuuuute!!!
I added some pen work for definition......
Funny how some pages you really like. Usually I love lots of colour,
but I think it's the photo here, of course.... & in another couple of months
I'll have to get a photo of my Big Boy with his THREE little ones....
Yup! Looks like we're getting #3 Grand Boy:):)

ARTastic challenge ~ APRIL 2016: Lotsa Alphas involved!

Hey there, scrappy mates! It's reveal time at ARTastic!
This month's Criteria is TYPOGRAPHY....so think
alphas, stencilling, patterned paper newsprint etc....
I got out a pile of those bits you get left over when you die cut.
I've had them for 3 years! Time to use 'em up!
Also, you need to use our art picture by Josh Miels as inpsiration:
I went with the alphas on the bg. Mine are random,
but I wanted sooo much to get a similar look. And it worked OK!
Here's my process:
Using black card stock, I applied the die cut alphas with multi-medium [matte].
Then brused on black gesso:

Next, I applied white gesso with a sponge, & used a baby wipe to remove some
as I went so I got the right amount of coverage:
YAY! Then the rest came together really easily. I used
a portrait...well, the 3 step grand kids school photo, in keeping with
the art picture inspiration!
I fussy cut their photo, as it had bright green in the background....
I didn't do much else in the way of embellishments as
the page didn't seem to need it:)
What sort of TYPOGRAPHY can you see working for you with this
amazing Miel's painting??
Hoping you can join in with us this month at ARTastic.
Happy scrapping ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

K+ APRIL CHALLENGE ~ Say No to Colour...

... well, that may be a slight exaggeration. Here's our
See what I mean? Black and White! I've used the spots from the board,
plus a couple of the words 'happy' and 'love'......
For a change I went 'CAS' - well, as CAS as I can!!
The heart shapes are 'freehand' hearts I swished on with drawing ink:
This is a really FUN board ~ lots of different things to do with it!
Hope to see you joining us at K+ this month:)
