A No Photo Page & a Christmas Card. Of course!

Good Day Fellow Crafters!
The journaling will explain my 'no photo' LO, I think:
And the surprise? He was obv short of drawing paper during World War 2:
Interesting. He doesn't recall drawing it at all! Bit of a tricky page.
cos I wanted to kee the 'integrity' of the cards.
This LO is for STUCK?! SKETCHES. I may have taken
liberties, but it is based on this:
I hope you can see how I've been inspired. It's VERY old bg paper:
The card on the left is a postcard style, so it's attached with that light bulb clip.
I've made the '5' card a flip up & out one, only glueing the very back of it down:
Guess I should've covered the back of  those flowers. Aaah well. It's mostly hidden!
I haven't done a 'retro/vintage' page for ages. But these cards 'asked' for it:
And I just realised that Margy M is getting ahead of me with
already starting her Christmas Cards. All quedos to her!
So I joined in with OLCC:
With this one:
And that's it from me!
Have a good one ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

I really liked the challenge over at ARCHI-SCRAPS this month.
And since some of my fave scrappers are on the DT this year,
I thought I'd join in. Here's the inspiration pic:
And you need to use 'something with water'. So I used my ink
sprays through some stencils.
I took the colours -  pink, soft white, and touch of blue/green
from the photo as well as the idea of love - since the Taj Mahal
is a shrine built cos of a great love.
So, I have a wedding day page:
Layers of stamping and tags & washi...
And of COURSE, a few flair!!! Some plasterer's tape sneaking out from behind the photo...
My title. The 'always' is my writing, cut out of coaster board with my
Brother Scan N Cut...then I went around the edge in gold.
I have to thank Jo R & Yvonne Y for some of those sitckers!
Just got those plastic hearts from Heidi Swapp. I know they're older, but
I do love them so!!
That's my son & his wife on the left, and all her family.....really love the photo!
So pleased I've scrapped it:)
Thanks for looking. ARCHI-SCRAPS is a small challenge blog,
that has a 'different' slant for scrapping your pages. Take a peek!

I simply HAD to join in with the New Challenge On the Block:
Headless. A little gold embossing with the stenciled bg.
I'd like to think the slightly chaotic & odd nature of the photo
& LO reflect me.... who KNOWS. We never perceive ourselves
as others see us.....
A bit of stitching..... LOTS of clusters..... the 'remember today' flair below
is from FEED YOUR CRAFT. The cork camera, among other stuff, from
Jo R...some bits from Mitra....
My journaling. Rambling thoughts...& I do LOOOOVE my necklace!!!!
Thanks Mitra!!!
I rarely use overlays. This one comes from the Reject Shop.
A 'dollar' shop, if you're not Australian. And it worked well!

So there you have it. Thanks so much for checking out these couple of

Some Challenges CONQUERED!!!

Yay! Interestingly, I've been pushing through a feeling of not
wanting to scrap. And I think I've reverted to more 'simple' & 'classic'
scrapping. These I just 'went with the flow'.
Anyways, you can see for yourselves!
Simply could NOT go past this mood board! Utilised the colours
& the beach theme. Stayed away from the red!
Oh, I had fun with some bg work. Stamping little blue bubbles
& the 'Life's A Beach' saying & flicking some white & yellow ink around!
Then I had fun layering a pile of bits up. Thanks Mitra, Jo T & Jo R for your
 contribution to Lizzy's Scrap Collection!
Created my own little idea of a PL card to do a bit of
different style journaling  on. LOVE that flair from Happy Scatters.
Which is also my hand crafted piece - along with the little bird, which
was sent from a Pocket Letter mate. And I cut the 'look' with
my Brother Scan N Cut machine. My handwriting!
 And my whole page:
Then I decided to tackle a double page.
More of Ollie. But Ollie needs more of LOs doing!
And here is my take:
The big white circles are ink swooshed around. There are
a range of photos from Oct & Nov. I've used some red bits
sent to me by Sandra S...... red is not a 'go to' colour for me!
She was challenging me to use it last year. These
are the 'left overs'!!!

The journaling was about how we called Ollie 'chuba buba' when he
 was little...but now he's crawling...well, it's all turned into muscle &
that baby fat, sadly, is going away.....
That's it from me. I hope these may spark some ideas
for you guys to scrap...maybe do a double if you haven't
for a while??!!!

Some Cards...

... since I needed some spare sympathy cards. Not that you ever WANT them.
But it's always good to have an assortment of cards tucked away.
And doing the FEELING SKETCHY #136 challenge meant I got this one done:
I've stamped the image inside the frame, which came from
Anna U - but I flipped it over & painted it! The little glass
beads are from Sanna. I am so LUCKY to have scrappy
mates who help 'feed my habit', LOL!
The sketch:
Then I saw this sketch from SKETCH N SCRAP #65:
So I used it to create this one:
FUSSY cut those little birds, then glossy accented them.
I put the close up so you could see the lovely sheen on the
gold embossing!
So there you have it! Feeling a lot more 'scrappy' atm.
Hope you are too ~ Happy Scrapping ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

Strangely I've been feeling a bit 'bleugh' with doing scrapping
for a week or so. So, I thought I'd do something that both
needed doing and was a little different for me.
That being creating Ollie's birthday book. Since I've done
one for Lucas & the Next Baby is just around the corner,
I thought I'd better get a move on!
Took inspiration from the WORDS & PAINTERY challenge:
So, here is the inside of my little book that I've created so
you understand what I'm talking about!
Now, the outside is VERY 'messy' artsy and rather 'deep' colours
cos I figured this [now] baby will be a 21 yr old MAN when
he receives it.
The back is a little plainer, but I used the same techniques:
It's held together with 2 rings. So, that's my entry.
It was quite a process to create this & I did take photos.
Might do a step by step at some stage!!!!
Cheers for now ~ happy scrapping!

Well, it's a NEW YEAR & our first LESSOLOGY challenge
for the year. And it's a BEAUTY!

Challenge #54: Candy Land

Be inspired by the fun and bold colours of candy wrappers!
I used these lollies for inspiration:
I took the bold design element in the middle, the colours & the round shapes
to create this:
And yes! That's bubble wrap behind. Remember , to join in our challenges
you need to recycle or up-cycle at least one element. And the  colour
was just perfect. I think it works a treat!
I've also used spray ink [Adirondack] to colour the hessian:
The buttons sprinkled around the page, & the anchor one here were
from my stash. The wheel is from Mitra & was FUSSY cut from a card -
mostly with a craft knife. Challenging in the extreme! Dylusions ink
coloured it nicely like the Mentos wrapper.....& see?
The paint circles were created with an old toilet roll holder...& more recycled
cardboard behind the photo got a smidgen of paint as well. I'm almost
out of my little Flutterby Design's tabs. They are very versatile!
Mitra might recognize this tag, too....I had some vellum anchors, but they were
a dull blue, so out came the nail polish! Worked a treat - the anchor behind
the tag has been cut with my Brother ScanNCut machine....
Here's a photo of the anchor's nail treatment!
The side cluster has a GORGEOUS flair from Adri du Preez - Lynette Jacobs
knows how to contact her, if you're interested in buying her flair.
It's REALLY nice!
So there you have it! Got a fave lolly? Eat and be inspired at the same time:)
Hoping you will join us at LESSology this month!
Blessings ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥
