Challenge YOUrself:

I do enjoy doing these CHALLENGE YOUrSELF challenges.
I've used the diagonal with '&' as well as the doily, which you can see below.
I've done a lot of bg stenciling with stars from Happy Scatter
& some stamping using the handcrafted heart stamp from Sanna:
I like using the 'weave' cardstcock. Gives nice texture!
Most of the goodies on this page come from Cocoa Vanilla.
Still using the giveaway bits I won 6 months ago!
Below you can see, faintly, some vellum hearts I've tucked in &
I added some glitter card in gold for contrast:
 It's a long title....but, you know....it tells the story!!

Thanks ever so much for looking & to you gorgeous peeps who take
the time to leave me some love. It warms my heart!!!
Happy Scrapping now ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

DECEMBER DAILY - the INSIDE story + the Last for Frosty Festivities:

I've joined the girls over at LET'S DECEMBER DAILY for
the beginning of my December Daily,
which you can see HERE.
I knew I'd do some 'extra' stuff to the outside.
I did!
Next I went through my 6x6 pads, pulled out lots of [very old]
patterned papers that blended.
Stayed away from the trad
Chrissy colours.....& had fun!
I haven't added the embellies, cos I don't know what days
will have photos or journaling or whatever.
Above as I was decorating.
Below when I finished:
The finishing touches will have to wait until December begins.
I was so excited with the inside that I got out my
phone & created a video!
It's under 4 minutes if you'd like to take a look:
Now let's just hope it works. I didn't edit it, so sorry for the ummms
& errrrs!!

This time I joined the 'recipe' challenge,
using these bits:
buttons, twine, stars, some sentiment diecuts & other diecuts.
I started to make a couple of cards for my
Christmas pocket letters:
And I kept going, Ended up making FOURTEEN!
Here's just a few. These ones use the flag diecuts:
And the ones below use the little trees:
All the papers behind are 'old' from my stash.
SOOO happy to do some 'busting' of said stash!

Cheers for now ~ Blessings ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

Scrap the Boys & Frosty Festivities cont:

I tend to take a lot of photos of food. Especially with my Grand Boy:
The 'my faves' is actually a clear tag.... I FORGOT to write the date
before I photographed this page! Silly me!
The 'happy' is a Dusty Attic word pebble that I've covered with an
sticky bubble from Sawyer's Place.
The cork chevrons above are from Happy Scatters. LOVE them!
Lots of bg work with layers of stencilng:)
The story:
I had fun layering up some circles I'd cut from MME pp that I was given
by Ronda Palazzari. Well, my Brother Scan'n'Cut cut them actually;)!!!
Nothing like a few toilet roll paint circles, eh??!!!!
Almost as good as non-cuttered up gingerbread men with SULTANA
bits 'cos that's what the Boy wanted to add!!!

And a few more cards for FROSTY FESTIVITES over at JENNIFER GRACE:
This one started as from the inspiration here:
Christmas Village Candle Houses Kids Craft (for LED candles)
I had a stamp of the Christmas stable - as house-like as the
Carpenter family could find!!!
Then I added 'lights' by cutting the little triangles out & backing them
with gold glitter paper......
...then I thought a few more glittery stars wouldn't go astray! So this is
my interpretation of cutting stars & using white glitter!!! LOL!!!
Then, Jennifer put up this card HERE:
Decorated Notebook Stocking Filler or Teacher Gift at Jennifer Grace Creates
There's also a BLOG HOP if you're interested.
I took the triangles & went with that:
That sentiment was created using my Brother Scan'N'Cut.
Do LOVE that machine;)

G'day! I thought for my Dusty Attic extra this month, I'd do
something Christmas-sy.
I had this CD & decided to create a sort of spinner decoration.
Here's the end result. This is my 'funny' photo. I found a hook on our
verandah, but DH was in the background. He decided to 'hide', LOL!!!
Giggles! This is a double sided creation....& I've done a step by step,
if, like me, you've got CD's that could be 'up-cycled':

1. Adhere ribbon through centre hole, onto both sides of the CD:
 2. Cut out patterned paper. Use CD as a template. I've used 2 different
 3. Adhere. I used PVA glue, which worked really well:
4. Add your title, or some nice Christmas words.
I outlined my words, as they didn't 'pop' quite enough:
5. Using the HANGING MASON JARS, I painted them white with a Sharpie
paint marker, then wrote the words on them. I added gold glitter nail polish
& finally some fine glitter, which stuck beautifully to the nail polish:
For the 'wrong' sides, I added my own lid lines with a marker:
6. Time to fancy up the FEATHER CHARMS #2 & #3:
Using DUSTY ATTIC paint in VINTAGE GOLD over the Sharpie white
paint pen, then adding some Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze on the baubles, with
some fine glitter sprinkled over, this is how they turned out:
The ORNATE PENDANTS #2 got a coat of the paint only:
I also added a touch of gold to some of the Hanging Mason Jars:
Here is how the front and back turned out:
I LOVE how you can actually HANG some of the little jars - on the
right side, above.
I really find those 'traditional' colours of red and green hard to use, so
was pleased with these ones! Some close ups:
You can see I also rubbed some DA Vintage Gold paint around the edges:
And the 'joy' side:

I added a die cut bell behind the chippy on this side, too:
I hope this gets you enthused about some Christmas decorating. It is coming up fast!
Thanks for looking & happy scrapping ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

Hey there! Today I've got entries into:
I'm still doing Mum's Christmas present!!!
Below you can see some heat emboss stenciling of a Kaisercraft stencil
[thank you Sandra S!]  in the bg over a pile of
leaf and flower stamping - those old roller stamps?
My leaves are a cluster from Dusty Attic... gesso, then paint:
Used some stickers & attached the vellum title right on the photo's white space
with some stitching:
And a big thanks for the butterflies, Lizzy C!!!
My whole calendar page:
I was pleased with how soft this one turned out:)

Tom's family had a fab trip to the UK last year.
Love this photo of them at the Camden markets, London, taking
'tea' Alice in Wonderland style!!!
I used cut up map paper in my banner, & my HAND CRAFTED 'flair' below:
Here is another flair [on the right] & that heart hand crafted bottle cap came from Mary B in 2013!
See, sooner or later....!!!!
Below is my word - explore - I know it's not madly prominent....but it's central!!!
Below is another hand made item...the arrow on the left, made on
my Brother Scan'n'Cut machine:
And below, the whole page. Totally random numbers. Like Alice is random!!
Thanks for checking these ones out!
