CSI #175 - Major Case File for September:

Hullo there! I've had this up over at CSI for a little while, but thought
it was time to share here:)
Got my CAS on!
So, I've used the sketch and colours.
I've taken the polka dots, hearts, animals [WALLY] &
 a bow for the EVIDENCE.
And the TESTIMONY is journalling about Wally around
the edges of my page.
Basically, it says Wally was a very good decision & one of
his fave things is to rest on the end of my bed whilst I'm blogging
in the mornings!
Instead of the 3 photos in the sketch, I used a couple of frames.
And LOTS of lovely COCOA VANILLA STUDIO goodies!
Polka dots on the bow, & a touch of yellow by carefully colouring in around
the quote...& by adding some marks to the inside of the frames!
Love the Flair from this collection - & those vellum hearts are YUM!
I also drew in the yellow lines above...The bg of the frame is some
Heidi Swapp paper that I've misted
before popping it inside.
And I VERY carefully fussy cut out this title [the name of the Cocoa
Vanilla collection] from some packaging. Waste not, want not. And
you all know how much I ADORE fussy cutting ..... ['scuse me while
I double up with laughter!!!!]
Anyways, I was VERY happy to finally join in with another awesome

Oh, I did soooo enjoy doing this one!
The SCRAP THE BOYS sketch:
I had planned to do a OTT MM LO.
Hah! Acronyms! I mean an Over The Top, Mixed Media Lay Out!!!
But, instead, this happened. Pretty much by itself!!
I used washi for the inside frame. Then, because it often does NOT
stay stuck down, added rows of stitching to it.
The little clusters started with tag type embellies, but somehow a
number of animals wanted to be added!!!
Added some subtle stamped 'splats' - the teddy was done on my
Brother Scan'n'Cut....the green dot tag is actually washi I covered it in....
The little dog is a gift from Anna U, I gave it a studded. Well, bradded collar
The black triangles another washi covered tag. And the little flair was one
of the gifts we got at Camp Mojo.
And lastly, a little stamped bird [on packaging that happened to be
the perfect colour! But SHINY, so I had to use STAZ ON ink].
Then I fussy cut it. More dang fussy cutting - bane of my life!
And the journaling says it all, I think;)
Thanks for looking & Happy Scrapping y'all!

SKETCH 'n' SCRAP #57 - the card sketch & one for GAUCHE ALCHEMY:

It's funny how we have 'seasons' and 'times'
in our lives, eh? At the moment, I seem to have been
making a few baby cards.
So, I thought this SKETCH'n'SCRAP sketch would work well
 for this one:
Card sketches Due Sept 30th
I had one of those 'left over' bits of card that I'd slapped a few things on.
Added some yellow ink spray, then went to town!
THANK YOU Anna for the wee hand crocheted heart! It worked
a treat here! I've used some KaiserCraft bits, along with an old
Purple Pumpkin duck button. The doily is felt. I bought it recently
cos I thought it was quite a novel idea. I really like them!
A bit of stitching, some threads and banners & voila!
Baby card and present are now ready to give;)
Sketch 'n' Scrap have LOTS of challenges
each month....well worth checking out their blog!

 September 2015
Talk about popalicious!!!
Can you see the stars on the side?
Loved the layered colours....so that's what
 I went with!!!
And I had fun using BRIGHTS! Especially
with the embossing of the yellow over inked
up red & black on the die cut above...
...& on the big wooden stars from Corbett Creations.
They have GREAT wood cuts & are a local Aussie shop:)
I wrote the 'joy' words then cut them on my Brother Scan'n'Cut
machine....also 'freehanded' those background yellow
embossed stars....
This is another page for my 2016 Calendar.
I thought this flower photo looked a bit like a poinsettia,
which seems to be synonymous with Christmas.
Dunno why! Anyways, red is good for Chrissy!!

Gauche Alchemy, the link for this challenge is
That's it for me today....thanks for looking!

Hi there! Today I've got a Boy Page for you,
using lots of lovely DUSTY ATTIC products:)
Just felt like getting my grunge on.
So out came the DIAMOND PANEL:
Firstly I used it as a mask, then filled it with silver pen doodling.
And outlined it with my SHARPIE fine marker [paint].
The chippy then got a spritz of black ink, followed by 2 coats of heat embossing.
I did the same thing with the GEO TAGS.
And with the ARROW BORDERS #1...
The title I spritzed with Heidi Swapp tinsel ink spray,
then added some white to define it:
Love that word! It comes in this WORD PACK #27:
So, here is my finished page:
I hope you find some inspiration in this page.
Thanks so much for checking it out

I have been wanting desperately to join in with the lovely,
luscious mood boards of SCRAP AROUND THE WORLD.
But it simply hasn't happened - til now!
The Board:
I've used the natural & pink tones, as well as taking the book
paper idea for my bg on my page. I've also played with natural elements
like wood and twine:
And some closies:
Th title is actually made up of wooden letters that I've inked black!!!
Except for the 'SELFIE' word which is
chipboard from Dusty Attic.
I LOVED making the twine 'lollipop' on the acrylic heart. I can't remember
who gave me that heart....but if it was you - THANK YOU!!
And I was lucky to be a giveaway winner over  at Happy Scatter,
Jennifer Grace's shop. Which is where that little frame came from.
I added the word and backed it off, of course:)
NB: the stitched washi behind it all!
I got that wooden banner from her, too.
I've 'whitewashed' it with my Faber Castell
Pitt artist's big pen in white.
I do love scrapping photos of my step Grand Girls. They are
all sooooo gorgeous ;)
Thanks for looking & Happy Scrapping

TIM TAG TIME.... two fer one!

...you see, JOI has kept up all year. Every month. Well, since I joined doing
the TIM TAGS I've been really good. 'Til Scrap Camp.
Then amongst all that LO creating..... I MISSED August.
Well, I missed the chance to link in. But I refused to give up.
So, here's last month's tag which I did along with this month's tag.
Confused yet?? LOL!!!
AUGUST was supposed to look like this:
 12 Tags of 2015- August | www.timholtz.com
Since I didn't have a MAN cut out & I had a boy stamp I rarely use,
I used him! And my new Brother Scan N Cut to do the cutting on the
bg. Then I sort of decided since my boy was 'cute-sie'...
the tag should incorporate a CUTSIE GRUNGE look!!!
Hahaaaa ...if there is such a thing! If not, there is now:)

Then I tackled September, found HERE:
12 tags of 2015: September | www.timholtz.com
I reckon Mitra should join in this one.... it's all about using alcohol inks as a base...
I didn't seem to get the nice swirly bg bit happening.....but, well, it
worked OK. A bit different. You sort of have to use
what's in the cupboard. CupboardS, I mean.....
so I didn't have all the materials such as those PRETTY alcohol ink colours:
Stamped my butterflies on old plastic packaging, then
fussy cut them out!!
So there you have it. All caught up.
Of course, these are now attached to card fronts.
So they're useful...
Happy Scrapping, my friends~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

I really LOVE these challenges, run by the amazing Darnell HERE
It is a GREAT opportunity to get into that stash & find stuff that has
never been used.
I'd gotten a Kaiser Craft stamp set.
That I did not need. But it was 40% off....
Of course, I hadn't used it. Til now!
Here's the card I made.
Back to the bokeh technique. With hearts. So cute!
And it wouldn't dry quick enough, so I sprinkled some
'iridescent' embossing powder on. HAPPY
with the shine!
And I did enjoy using those little  chevron stamps too:)
Bet YOU have stuff in your stash you've never used!
This challenge is a great chance to DO SOMETHING
about it!!!

There are a number of challenges here this
month. I've joined in with the
This gorgeous page is by Shannon Carole Daniel
Now, my French is 'tres pauvre'.....but I'm hoping it IS a scrap lift!
And I've kept close to the original, which I LOVE as it's so light and bright
and breezy :)
This is an A4 page. It's another for Mum's calendar. I really enjoyed
creating the background with ink spray scrunched up on a plastic bag,
then slapped onto the cardstock!
Stamping, badges - including my 'hand crafted' one using an clear sticky round
I was given some Close To My Heart Stamps [above] to use
in a Scrapbooking Memories magazine article, which
is out this month....luckily, I got to keep them!
That's it for me! Hope you have a lovely scrappy day:)

Hi there! I was thrilled to be featured over at LASTING MEMORIES in July!
It's a fun challenge blog that has 4 challenges a month, but they are not due
til the end of the month. That idea is right up my alley!
So, this challenge is to use a bold title and mixed media.
Easy peasy!
Thanks to JENNIFER GRACE for that lovely arrow - a giveaway win!
I've given it a coating with my white Faber Castell Big Pen.
The 'for the record' is heat embossed, above, beside the photo.
I've made my own 'flair' using those epoxy sticky rounds [from Sawyer's Place] over my stamped
sentiment. Some washi, a Pprima stamp from Time To Create & that lovely
metal 'flower' from a win from Scrapbook Fantasies.
Here you can see I've used a Prima mask with moulding paste,
then sprayed some ink mist over it randomly to create a sort of
'setting' for the photo.....then I added the stamping over the top.
A closie of my journaling:
Big title, bold title, FUN to do and use up those alphas from 2013!!!
Happy Scrapping folks!

PS: A little shout out to my friends over at SCRAP IT WITH A SONG.
