CCC Swap - August 2015 - Gold Deer Card...

Hope your little part of the world is going along nicely!
Each month I've been joining in with the CCC card swap.
This month I followed the sketch - but there are different themes,
embellies or colours to choose from!
And I wanted to do gold on this one:
So I did! That is my writing, cut out with my Brother Scan'n'Cut die cutting machine, of course!!
Such fun using up a bit of washi tape, too!
And while I'm at it, here's my swap from April -
 that I never published;)
For this challenge, I went with using DIES:
Gail, from CRAFTY NOMAD, sent me the ripped edged serviette
that I've mod-podged onto some white card
then added Glimmer Mist and some Gesso....
Just realised I've got doilies on both cards!!
The background is water colour paper that I'd been
playing around with Gelatos
then added some stenciling from my new
RONDA PALAZZARI stencil. Subtle, but pretty!!!
The sunflowers are actually one of those sewing on thingies.....a friend passed them onto me.
Worked quite nicely here, I thought!!!
And the little enamel dots are from SAWYER'S PLACE....they are sooo
much more reasonably priced than the big name brands,
with a great range of sizes and colours!
Thanks for taking a peek at my little cards, both
old and new!!!
And if you like 'swapsies'....CCC might just be for you too:)

A Few More challenges done at Camp Mojo:

I don't have many photos of our Great GrandBoy in NZ, Riley....
but these 2 popped up on FB. Thank GOODNESS for FB.
And they told a beaut story!!

I had such fun using this mood board!
I was playing around with this page.....ended up writing down the left side.
I've added a little of the journaling - basically saying how we love Wally.
Even if his 'work ethic' is a little suspect!

This is the FAB sketch from Grand Divas.
If you also join in with Kelly's word challenge, below, you get extra dibs
at a prize!

You need to use one of the words in your LO title or journaling.
I used travel - it's also about biking:

Hope you enjoyed these few challenges....new ones for me!
And maybe some different blogs for you to visit :)

Hi there!
Today I'm sharing with you one of my very favest DUSTY ATTIC chippies:
I've cut a bit off, removed a few of the hearts & used it as a 'mount' for my photo:
This card stock was originally cocoa brown! I kid you not...
...white gesso really does go a long way! As do Gelatos!
Can you see a 'vague-ish' wing shape?
I sort of carried over the idea of fairy wings, like Brooke is wearing in the photo.
The hearts have been coated in Gesso then smudged with some white Gelato.
The scattered hearts, title and hugs & kisses chippy have been coated in silver glitter glue.
A few of the other hearts have been treated with blue glitter nail polish. Naturally!
There are no other embellies apart from Dusty Attic chippies, some thread
and splashes of ink sprays.
I  used the 'wish' from the Word Pack #15:

Love the page pebbles #8 pack, too:
Glittered up, of course!
Thanks for looking!
Kisses and Hugs to you, LOL!!!
And remember, Dusty Attic chippies can be bought at their online store
Thanks for looking ~ and Happy Scrapping ~ Lizzy.

A few more challenges for August 2015:

I thought this sketch was way outta my comfort zone. But I've given it a go,
using square photos [3]. LOOOVE that door knob! Shabby chic seemed
to call me!
The paper is BoBunny, but covered in Gesso with 'runs' of distress ink to mimc
a wood look.
For my banner, I used pearls, string, then hung some flowers and keys off them.
The muslin added some softness.

Oh! I did enjoy pulling out some VERY old photos for this one!
AND I got to use big banners behind the photos. I've wanted to do that
for ages!!
1997. Journaled about how I used to volunteer at the Mission to Seafarers,
where Tom was Principal Chaplain - & how us ladies got to serve tea on a LOT
of occasions, to Princess Anne on one special day, no less!!!!
Thank you Lizzy C for those glorious butterflies:)

I was really excited to do this challenge. Fussy cutting is my FAVE
activity. Dripping with sarcasm, is that statement.
BUT I stamped some teensy owls from an old Stampin' Up set,
and FUSSY CUT THEM!!!!!!!!!
Luckily, my cute Grand Boy Ollie made up for such madness!!!

See how sweet he is???!!! Biased MUCH!!!!
That's it for this lot! I'll be back in a jiffy with the last lot of challenges for the month!
Once again, scheduled. My life is a busy schedule, so I'm glad blogger lets
me work ahead of myself;)

Third Lot of pages created at Camp Mojo!

... I might have to put some photos of scrappy camp up next month!
Just getting all 22 challenge LOs I've made blogged is a big job this month:)
You can use the mood board however you like. I hope you can see the
pink inspired me, as did the pop of gold and the idea of flowers. I think
this is a beautiful mood board!
I have to say thanks to Cocoa Vanilla for the fabulous paper and flowers here:)
I was so fortunate to win a giveaway over there!

Isn't she a corker of a girl? Sooo cute!!!

Scrap or art journal about nature - use photos, or embellishments, or journalling thoughts - subject nature!!

So, I have used a photo from around the corner where we live that
I took early one morning:
The bg is mists with stamps. One of my fave heart ones made for me by Sanna L!
Nature at its best, I reckon!!!

I've used the yellow and black, & the quote made me think of this photo
I'd taken of Tom with the sunlight streaming down...

Once again, a whole pile of stuff was done with my Brother Scan N Cut.
The title is my writing; the little round circles were 'fussy cut' by the machine. YES!!!
And the fun, anchor and boat were also cut on it!
I really enjoyed creating this page!

I've used some of the colours from the board and created this LO featuring
my brother, who is a Master Fisherman & Teacher thereof to all members of
our family!!!!!
I made the anchor using layers of embossing powders. My banner 'string' is all brads!!!!!
The bg has plasterer's tape, washi, distress ink and stamping.
The circle is bits of the tape that sort of fell off the edge
I thought the circle looked cool!!!

Thanks so much for all your lovely comments....I am so sorry I can't get
back to many of you this month. I have soooo much on, that I'm pretty much off
the radar. These posts are all being scheduled for that reason, too:)
Take  care ~ Cheers ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥
