CARDS GALORE! Rubber Dance, Beyond Grey, Sketch'n'Scrap...

Hi there! I'm going to try for BREVITY today. As I've made some cards for a few challenges:)

I took the pink & cream & a touch of the green colours. Added the bicycle, butterflies & did the stamping:
I added a cut file for 'today' then carefully went over it with some Stickles. Took ages to dry - but worth it!
Then I joined in here:
For this one, you could optionally use the word 'love'. Which I have!
LOTS of stamping! And fussy cutting as well:
I don't have a heart die cut, so I had to hand draw mine, then I punched out a pile of little hearts to create the shape.
I've added some gold embossing between & around them.
The lovely hessian flower comes from Jo. I've used some of my 'local' feathers!
And fussy cut that bird. Ufff!!!
Are you all carded out? I seem to have done an awful lot of them this month!!!
Take care now - blessings, Lizzy ♥♥♥

Dusty Attic - Up to No Good!!!!

Hullo there! Today I'm sharing with you Part 2 of my meanderings through trying to create a LO that turned into 3 cards [see post HERE].
Well, 4 actually, as I'm sharing the last one here today before I show you the LO that I'd originally planned to create!
Strangely, as well as using the gorgeous DUSTY ATTIC PAINTS on my projects, I've also featured chipboard WASTE. Yup, you heard me. The bits you're supposed to chuck when you've used the chippy you've bought.
As usual, when I go to make something, a shape takes my eye...in this case, the inside piece of the VINE FRAMES #2. Not that I've used the frames yet. I INTENDED to...but....
So, now you can see where I nabbed that wonderful centre piece for behind the big DA 'WISH' word.
Both bits, & the little DA ARROW [set #1], have been heat embossed. I have a thing with metallics atm!
If you're interested in how I created the painted bg, you need to go to my post #1. The little STAR is available in the DA shop online HERE.
A lot of peeps find 'male' cards hard to make. Well, I reckon DA chippy [even waste!] makes the job a breeze:)
Once I'd gotten the card making outta my system I turned back to my LO. It features PORT. Hence, the vague idea to include the vine frames.
Instead I decided the waste would make the PERFECT frame:
My page:
The story [hidden in the side bag]:
LOL! Taken me a few years to tell this story, eh;)
Those of you who know me, will know I'm fond of using NAIL POLISH on my LOs...so I've done just that on this word from the DA WORD PACK #6:
I painted then heat embossed the BARBED WIRE...then cut it & used it as the basis of my page design:

And added a cute badge...then the 'not'...as this is so NOT a lovely thing for a wee boy to do!!
You can see I've 'backed off' the chippy 'frame' on the inside & drawn around it...added a stamped word.
So, that's the end of my painterly background journey with cards & a LO!
Hope this has given you some ideas to inspire your own scrapping ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥
PS: Dusty Attic has NEW releases for February in their shop. Some stunning pieces like these hearts:

#58 Paper Dvizhnik Challenge - LEGS!!!

Here's the PAPER DVIZHNIK board for this month:

Coincidentally, I'd just been to the beach & taken a sandy toes photo.
So, I worked in the above colours alongside lots of purple!
Added some pencil to the feathers. Using up stash on this one!
I adore this washi tape. Simply circle the date!!!!
This rub on didn't work very well! But I didn't mind the grungy look, so went with it:)
And the whole A4 page. Didn't need too much fussying up with such busy pp!
It was really nice NOT to do any MM or bg 'work' on this page for a change.
Good as a holiday:)
I thought this was a bit of a quirky challenge! And it was fun!
Thanks for looking ~ Cheers, Lizzy ♥♥♥

PIXELS & PAPER Feb challenge:

I really, really HAD to do this challenge. You see. I like Paris. A lot. I've been very fortunate to have visited twice. I want to go back! AND I have a little step grandie who shares my passion. I hope she gets to experience Paris's magic at some stage in her life.
Speaking of stages.....last Christmas when she was down, we staged a bit of a Paris-o-phile photo shoot.
See, sometimes the Universe collides and a page is born.
Sorry...waxing lyrical....but Paris will do that to you!!!
The inspiration photo. I took the messy paper layers, the Eiffel tower and went to town:
 This is my page:
Throw into that mix the fact I mentioned to my scrappy mate, Sandra, that I really HATE scrapping with red.
I find it quite hard. That this year I intended to overcome the Red block.
So she kindly [???!!!] sent me a RAK filled with - you guessed it - RED STUFF!!!

Add into the mix that Dolly B & I also share a Paris 'amore' ....& SHE had given me some GORGEOUS Eiffel tower bits.
I used the packaging that Sandra sent & made it into my journaling tag!!!

Add in to THAT my scrappy friend, Marie-Christine - who actually IS French - had also sent me a lovely Kraft Eiffel tower embellie.......
 Et voila!
That lovely chippy swirl is from Dusty Attic; the camera, a competition win from Papercut Labs, is Maya Road.
Thanks for looking! And THANKS Pixels and Paper for this challenge *winks*

Life Zesters February 'wood' challenge.

I am really enjoying entering the challenges over at LIFE ZESTERS. This month, it's to use wood with your PL pages. So I did. I have a LOT of wood. It was NICE to use some up!!!
Wood washi tape, wood alphas & wood wood!!!
Some of the chevrons I coated with orange Smooch......I got it from the lovely Julie Short's shop, A Time to Create...
I really enjoy writing on my photos. And I thought these hearts sort of mimicked the idea of steam rising from my cuppa!
 And REAL wooden alphas!
Fiddly to attach...but that's ok! Loved the idea of journaling over this little card!!!
I added a few pencil circles to this card, & a little shading to the 'M'...and my whole page:
Thanks for looking! I hope, if you're a PL 'do-er' you will join in with Life Zesters!!!
Blessings ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥
PS: This is the first time I've used the 4x4" pockets. And I'm in LOOOOOVE!!!!!
And PPS: I have a new Grand BOY.....#2 in the same family. Soooo happy to introduce Oliver to the world. Here's a photo his Mum shared with me. It WILL get scrapped!!!
Isn't he a beauty? I know. I AM biased!!!!

Tim Time Again... + Mixed Media Card Challenge 2/15

...yup! I dunno how long it's gonna last, but it looks like I'm Tim Tag obsessed!!
The FEBRUARY CHALLENGE was FUN! This time I sorta took quick notes as I read, so I didn't go off on too much of a tangent.
But I actually FORGOT what the finished tag looked like. So, mine's an 'approximation'!!!
The start was to gather your bits & bobs for the background:
Then add some tissue....well, washi tape is sorta similar, right??!!!
Then sand, then Glue'n'Seal [least I've got some of that!]
Then add some Distress Paint.....well, Gesso is sorta similar, right?!!!!
Then Glue'n'Seal.
Then go round the edges with a Distress Marker. Or something similar...because even tho' I DO have Distress Markers. Nadda in black. VERY sad, eh??!!!
Then add your other bits. Now, I DO remember Tim had a red heart. With stitching.
I did a hessian heart [burlap for you Yanks!], with machine stitching. And the threads looked SOOOO "Tim-ish" I left them on!
And the lace just jumped on all by itself;)
Now, I don't have a heart die cut. So I used a Chrissy bell one, then snipped it. After I'd Glue'n'Sealed it so it didn't fray.
Added some metal [thanks Mitra & Rebecca!] that I InkaGolded [with Platinum]
Spritzed with a bit of Tattered Angels mist & Glimmer Glaze. Of course!
And here you have it!
I am very happy to have found another Tim than my boy in my life. The tags are GREAT FUN!!!!
Hope you find time to join the waaaaay huge number of peeps already joining in!!!

Now, I'm soooo NOT a lovey-dovey peep....so, I've used a heart. I've used the 'love' word.....but twisted it to suit MOI!
My MM work includes lumpy gessoed flower, then heat embossed & water coloured.
Plus some Distress Stain thwumped down on the bg:)
The little 'dots' are nail polish. My signature! And note! BUTTON. Thanks Yvonne!!!
A closie of my flower:
Thanks, as always for looking and leaving such positive comments. I really enjoy reading them:)
