CSI #148 - closed now, but....

...but I got featured on the MOST WANTED list! Pretty excited!!! I haven't shown you here, so I thought I would:0 CSI have slightly altered their challenges so that you have 2 weeks to finish them. Which is MUCH better, I think! Anyways, here's the case file that was:
I've scrapped my BFF....& one of my FAVEST sweet treats!!! All the colours are included - the EVIDENCE includes string, the metal teacup & staples. My journaling centres on 'year' & how we try to make time to catch up, even though it's hard when we live so far apart...
Some embossing behind.. the stars have been coated in Liquid Paper, the badge is A Piece of Cake Designs, the decorative pins from Helen T.....still getting through them, LOL!!!
I also stamped the coffee cup in the 2nd green from the colour scheme...& below, my journaling:
LOOVE those little teacups - I got them in NZ earlier this year! The string is also from NZ - from Crazy Monday Kits' shop...
Some stamping with a roller alphabet stamp from Sandi T....LOOOVE it!
And there we have it! I suspect this will be my last post for 2014....scheduled, as usual....sooooo
HAPPY NEW YEAR & may 2015 be filled with all Good Things :)

I was absolutely THRILLED to not only have a win over at 1,2,3 Challenge, but also to be asked to be their Guest Designer! I thought it would be a fun idea to USE some of the chippy I won on my page....so, here's the requirement for this month:
Pretty COOL, eh....sozzy....watermelon....cool on hot days? Couldn't help that one!!!
So, this is my page:
Yep, our 'baby'....I decided to use my tag for what they are usually used for - journaling. It's sitting there, cos the photo looked like this:
Now, I'm not saying my DH's leg isn't the height of attractiveness....but it sorta takes the focus off Wally, don't you think?! Seemed the perfect placement for said tag. Which tells a story; a REALLY important story:
I was really pleased to use up that big heart [VERY old Heidi Swapp!]....but it's hard to attach them without the glue showing. I used 1/2 a glue dot, then covered it up with the little green heart. Neat, huh??!!!
This little cluster includes a Flutterby Designs flair...the doggy metal clip is from Freckled Fawn, as is the big arrow in the top cluster:
I also used some lovely little 4enSCRAP [a French shop] stamps on the background. There's something so, I dunno, 'chic' about the French language!!!!
I have a feeling there may be a few Chrissy LOs made for this challenge - it sort of 'lends' itself to them, I think.....anyways, I hope I have inspired you to check out the 1,2,3 DECEMBER CHALLENGE :)

Marie-Christine Denis [MME die cut hiding behind the photo!!!]
AND.....the year has passed for me over at 3RD EYE.....
we were requested to do a 'selfie' with our fave product.
Can you guess what my fave product was?
Check out the post HERE if you'd like to know!
And I'd like to give Karolina, 3rd Eye creator, a big cyber hug for producing such gorgeous products:)
And as ever,
Thanks for looking ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

CSI - S365 [10] challenge...

...well, this was supposed to be part of my S365 gig for the current SPECIAL challenge over at CSI.
Unfortunately, S365 went belly up....so, since I'd already made this page, I thought I may as well enter into the Special case file anyways! And the beauty of these is that you have a whole month to do them!
I've used all the colours, then for the EVIDENCE distressed, used metal [hanging from the LEAVES -another element!], used ribbon as well....my testimony is on a handwritten tag tucked under the photo & I've also used the 'thankful' prompt! I really, REALLY enjoyed creating this page:)
I've used my 2Crafty Chippy, won from 1,2,3 challenge....in the background you can see a little clock - a long ago goody from Helen T! Do you remember, Helen, I wonder??!!!
Some YUMMY Dusty Attic blooms....the paper is 7 DOTS STUDIO...perfect for the black, white & taupe colours that were needed.....I added some bg stamping, too - with a LOVELY stamp from the even LOVELIER Lizzy C!
 A touch of the pink!
And there you have it! A little on the CAS side for me, but a bit of a change is as good as a holiday:)
Speaking of holidays, it's almost Christmas - this is scheduled -as are 99% of my posts, these days! We will have family from QLD down staying when this goes 'live' so it'll be busy, busy, busy!!!
Anyways.....I'd like to say a HUGE, HEARTFELT thankyou to each & every one of you peeps who pops on by, leaves lovely comments & generally makes scrapping the fun it is!
BLESSINGS to you and your families - if it is a difficult time of year for you, then may you pass through it with an ease of heart & a sense of peace.
May your God be close to you all ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

Off The Rails DEC CHALLENGE & Mixed Media Card Challenge

YUP! It's 'that' time of the year! And over at OFF THE RAILS, we're giving you a BONUS...not ONE mood board - but TWO....it's up to you to choose!!
And if this one doesn't 'do' it for you, how's about this one:
This is the one I picked...I thought the dark green was black...hey ho! Them's the breaks!! 'Sides, the mood board is for INSPIRATION, so you don't have to use all the colours. Luckily for me, eh?
I really wanted to use the TRAD colours in an UNtraditional way.....so, I did this, using Core'dinations cardstock from a SCRAPBOOKING MEMORIES giveaway:
And a closie.....I got my CAS on for a change!!! And THANKS, Linda E...for that LOVELY mask:):)
The thread comes from KREINIK...the 'Merry' from that SCRAPTASTIC Kit from LAST December:):)
The paper string comes from the CRAZY MONDAY shop and the alphas in a giveaway I got from the POLKA DOT CREATIVE shop!
I know December is a slightly [understatement] time of the year ~  but I do hope you can join us at Off The Rails:) We have a WONDERFUL prize this month:

So, I made a Chrissy card - I took the sentiment from some of the DT cards - it works so well for Christmas!
Took some chippy - added glitter nail polish! Thanks for the FLAIR Mitra P....yep! Used already;)
Double heat embossed - first with Distress embossing powder in green, then added some gold over the top!
The chippy stars have been sparkled up....& thanks Sandy A for the reindeer!!!
Cheers ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

Scrap it With a Song - December 2014

Hi there! I have had this photo around since errr....2012. Oops! And since the challenge over at SCRAP IT WITH A SONG is to use 'Winter Paradise' by Destiny's Child....which is a Christmas one, I've joined in!
My words from the song are 'Happy Time'...& I think these two are having just that, don't you agree?
I used up another pile from the Scraptastic kit I won back in 2013.... note the little wood & gold sequins!
Below is some wood that was also in the kit. I decided to 'hang' the title...an idea I saw on my travels & I can't remember where & if it was YOU...well, thank you;)
The rhinestones & the goodies below are all RUBY ROCK-IT, c/- my scrappy friend Sandy Ang....thank you! They worked to PERFECTION on this page!!!
I've run out of enamel dots. SAD FACE....so I had to do with nail polish....a couple of drops, letting dry between & they worked OK!!
The background paper is Teresa Collins. Like Lynette in Sth Africa...I am a HUGE fan of her goodies:)
Below, you can see a Very Old Button that I got years ago from Linda E! See, sooner or later....!!!!
The twine...well, it got tangled, & I got frustrated & of course, then in knotted up...so it sat looking at me 'til I decided to keep it all twisted & slap it down here. Colours were perfect, eh???!!!
And TA-DAAAA.........
Believe me, I tried to keep this CAS....I sooo aspire to do it like Ali P...but I dunno, the bits & bobs 'speak' to me & say 'Pick me! Pick me!'. And how can I disappoint them? So, then they all end up being used....sigh!!
One day, one day, I SWEAR I will be a CAS girl. Better stop buying stuff first, eh???!!!!
Happy Scrapping & if you've time - join in at SCRAP IT WITH A SONG

7 Dots Studio Challenge

Good Day to you all! The 7 Dots Studio challenge this month is 'Warm and Cosy'.....
Being HOT weather over here, it's a bit weird doing the winter thing, but here's what I came up with:
I've used my 7 DOTS STUDIO papers I won in a giveaway, so it's the DESTINATION UNKNOWN collection. The flair [above] is Freckled Fawn...the big chevron badge from CRAZY MONDAY KITS.
I wanted to make the LO quite light and bright, so used gesso over the papers & the blues & lime green to lift it!!!
The banners under the flair are fussy cut from the 6x6 paper pad. Here's my journaling....Cindy was our dog prior to Wally...
I used some of the little word stickers that were appropriate, as well as 'fussying up' some of the tags to tuck around the photo.
Here's my title, with one of the collection's stamps [compass] behind it....appropriate, I thought! I've also used the script stamp on the background  -you can just see it in the yellow ink.
And my whole page! I have used a sunburst mask on the background, as well. These papers take MM work so well:) Right, off to bed to cuddle up to Humphrey....LOL! Not likely....he's up in the attic somewhere these days!!!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop from Amy T...

Well,  I couldn't RESIST joining in with this! Lotsa lovely prizes & a bit of COFFEE fun!
For more info, you need to be quick, & pop on over to Amy Tsuruta's blog HERE.
I created this card:
I used water colours, a Silly die cut & the coffee & 'MMM' stamps are from Kellie Stamps.
The other stamps are from Elle's Studio. I've coloured some wood arrows, & the beige stripes are washi tape:)
Hope you like! How's THIS for a short & sweet post, eh?
Hope you haven't dropped off your seat in shock **winks** !!!!!!!!!!!
Happy Scrapping ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

My Creative Sketches Challenge

Sometimes you have a photo you want to scrap....& a challenge you want to do - like I had for MY CREATIVE SKETCHES - but you're not too sure that you can 'pull it off'. In this case, my problem was my friend had given me only 2 photos. But the sketch is this:
Soooo... lateral thinking time. I fussy cut & split up the smaller photo for the left hand side....left the bigger, better coloured one for the right.
The background is a 'nod' to Yvonne Yam....FINALLY used the ink residue from my plastic doily & slapped it on this card stock before cleaning it! Similar thing happened with the green sun rays...so, this back ground has actually been waiting a while to be used - & I reckoned it'd be perfect for this sketch!!!
Couldn't RESIST using these Lawn Fawn stamped images...bit tricky fussy cutting those legs, but it was worth the effort! Some OLD baby sentiments from Authentique....& behind, a pile of SRM 'baby' stickers...
The 'hello life' badge is from A Piece of Cake designs....she has LOVELY kits for sale if you're an Aussie:) And the title was heat embossed chippy, then covered in nail polish [yeah....couldn't help myself!!]....

And here you can see the Lawn Fawn sun die, alongside this YUMMY Charm's Creation star...I really had fun doing this page, &  I hope my GF likes it. She's a 'new' grandmother.....so lovely she's joined the club! It's an exciting, fun time of life, for certain:):)
Cheers for now ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥
