The Diagonal challenges. Both of 'em!

Funny, how 2 separate challenges have VERY similar sketches....& since I'd chopped one piece of paper into a diagonal to get the shape for STUCK?!
...I figured I may as well use the 1/2 left over & go into SHOW US YOUR STUFF as well!
are combining this month...so I've used the Palette from Color Me Scrappy [sooo hard to write that word without a 'u'!!]
And my page - both feature my lovely, lovely little step grand-daughters:
Ooooh! I had FUN!!! This is Brenna's fave photo - which she popped up on Instagram, which I subsequently pinched! The circle is stitched & penciled as well...
Thanks Mitra for the Sun card! One of my 3rd Eye flair. Love! [heehee!!]...the orange doily is ANCIENT - originally from Chantelle H...who has a great blog going atm:):) The star is Rainbow Splendour...
 Another 3rd Eye flair......
My chippy title - using THICK crackle paint....it never works for me, but after reading Margy M's blog, I thought I'd give it a go. Originally it was for a vintage page, but got tossed aside...it was just waiting for this page, I'm sure! And I've seen the stitched title thing a few times....recently over at Sian F's blog....so I was eager to give it a whirl:)
...& of course, then I couldn't stop!!!
See what I mean about similar??!!!
Those little flowers & hearts are from my giveaway win over at Joy T's blog....the 'love' flair is my handmade item [one of 'em!!]...I STAMPED IT!!! Pretty neat, huh? They come plain 'kraft' from 3rd Eye so you can 'customize' them yourself!!!
Some more hand crafted stuff....a Charm's Creations button tucked in beside another crocheted doily...
My title - with a little fake stitching...
And a Rainbow Splendour foam star, that I painted to make it a better match!
I sooo love this photo. I think I've scrapped it once before...but I figure I could do it 3 times - once for Mum's album. Then another couple of times for the girls' albums! So you may see a variation yet again:)
Thanks so much for taking a look at these ones...oh! Those white splats are my [almost signature] Liquid Paper splots....works a treat, I reckon:)
Cheers ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

A combined challenge...

...yes! A two fer one...shocked ya socks off, eh, Yvonne Yam??!!!!
I started this for Pixels and Paper....but as I was doing it, thought, I'm writing about what makes me happy...hmmmnnnn...that's Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge's challenge this month.
So, after checking, it looks like I can combine...& since I'm running outta days to post....it works for me:)
Pixels and Paper's inspiration picture is simply SUBLIME:
OCTOBER inspiration ...
I thought about doing tea cups, coffee, food etc...but then I found a photo in my to-scrap box & since it was also a pretty pink...I went with using the floral element & of course, those DIVINE colours:)
And you can see why this makes me happy, yes? ADORE flowers like this....don't they make you smile too?
The little Polaroid frame is from 3rd Eye...backed, added alphas & a 3rd Eye arrow [nail polished!], then the washi tape around the bottom is days of the week, from D'Lish Scraps.....see, Sian, I really, REALLY wanted some, so found something like, not the same, as yours!!!
The background was a journey. Those Ali E stamped words were another matter. Started embossed gold...but I did a dodgy job embossing, 'cos I didn't wait for the Distress daubed splats to dry....so gold sorta got embossed all over the show.
No matter - I'll just go over them with a black marker. But then they looked too 'thick' and 'black'.
Soooo....cover the blackness with extra bg work, right??!!
Wellll...I whacked on those diamond shapes with modeling paste, after spraying on some pink ink. OOPS! Now the words were all covered up. Never mind, scrap it back...OOPS...now the pink has smudged & so has the ink....
Had me stumped. BUT then I thought...what if I re-emboss with white?
And I LOOOOVED it....looks, like 3D....guess it is - it's got that many layers.
Don't think I'll be repeating it any time soon, though;)
So, now I was happy! Note the 'fussied' up banner below with the same letter stickers as the Polaroid Frame:
And one final pic:
YUMMY flair! The zig zaggy one is from Flutterby Designs [I won a prize for them!] & the other is Badges Folies, in France, I think.....looove their flair:)
Anyways, there's my take for Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge AND Pixels and Paper!
Thanks for reading. Hope the bg story gave you a giggle!!

Scrapki Wyzwaniowo #109

Well, now, the challenge for Scrapki Wyzwaniowo certainly almost did my head in! It's 'IN MY HEAD"....well, I had a flotilla of thoughts churning around. Decided to do an Art Journal page. Which I KNOW I'm not really good at....but like they say, the only way to get better is to keep doing it!
This is what I thought:
You KNOW what I'm talking about, right? You start a scrap page, deciding it will be clean and simple.....& it turns out vintage and shabby chic!!! And my art journal pages are completely RANDOMLY different to what I imagine they will be....aaaah well;)
I can dream away about what I will create.....but the reality????
Hmmmnnnnn.......I wanted to include the Darkroom Door stamp I won from Scrapbooking Memories mag [the paint brushes, right, above & below]...since I was thinking about creativity!!!
I've popped some bg print & music paper on the page.....& ta-daaaaaa!!!!
So, there you have it. Mostly I've used Gelatos, with a few pops of Staedtler markers for the tips of the paint brushes. And of course, lots of stamps:):)
Soo....what's in YOUR head?!!!! Something worth scrapping & joining in with at Scrapki Wyzwaniowo, I'm sure:):)

Here's my next entry into THE SCRAP SISTERS challenge. Still following the mood board:
The beauty of doing this challenge is that you can enter a card, tag or page.....or all 3! And because you've got the right colours and goodies out to make them  you can just keep on creating with them. So, a great STASH buster challenge!!!
My page:
I've used some transparent stickers & some vellum behind the photo - hand stitched on. Something weird is going on. I HATE hand sewing. I'm not overly fond of flowers....but since they were a requirement of the challenge, I got 'over myself'....& errrr quite enjoyed adding them!!!!
The little clouds came from my CRAZY MONDAY KIT leftovers...the 'you and me' tab from a Flutterby Designs prize win...& I've popped a pile of washi as a photo mat...then gessoed it to blend and soften...
You needed to use a bow [noeud] - so I popped in my beige with a bow:)
The 'you and me' refers to my lovely Daughter in Law with her Grandmother, who she is very, very fond of, but unfortunately lives in NZ....so it's a really special time when they get together:):)
To get the green, I used Luminarte Twinkling H2Os ....over a little glitter that I'd previously stuck to this page:) I really enjoyed using the watercolours....of course, I prepped my page with gesso first:)
I do hope you will join in with The Scrap Sisters this or next month!

Scrap Sisters Card & D'Lish Scraps Challenges

Bonjour! I can start like that, since the SCRAP SISTERS is a French challenge blog! Or I see a lot of peeps say 'Coucou'....which is quite a cute greeting, I reckon....anyways, I digress!
The challenge over there is for a card, tag &/or a LO. I'm endeavouring to do all 3!!!
Here's the sketch & colours:
The colours are light & mint green, beige, taupe, white/cream & a grey [steel].
The REQUIREMENTS are to use FLOWERS, something TRANSPARENT, LAYERS & 'noeuds'. Well, that stumped me. It stumped Google translate too, which made it into 'nodes'. Ummmm...thank goodness for my friend Marie-Christine.....she sent me a photo. It's a BOW!!!
Here's my card:
I have embossed the vellum, which is a light green...all the colours are there. In fact, I grudgingly used that lovely sparkly 'rose' that Mitra P sent me ages ago. One of those things you really, REALLY like & don't wanna use.......anyway, it's done now!!
My bow is a big one, behind the whole flower cluster....& I've actually got a little banner UNDER the vellum...
...and another layer under the sentiment:) I really, really enjoyed making this flower card.
There's hope for me yet!!!!!
So, I have covered the criteria....
have a mood board challenge, with an optional sketch, which I didn't use:
I had this lovely photo of my step grand girl, & it just fitted the colours so well:) And it was the colours I went with, as well as the flowers:):)
Also, I have to think Lindy G for the lovey BoBunny goodies and some flowers she gifted me - both have been used a LOT here:)
Are you proud of me? I've used both RIBBON and CHIPPY and FLOWERS. Please don't keel over with shock;) The ribbon is from Keren Tamir. The chippy is Dusty Attic...
 I've heat embossed the chippy...
LOTS of flowers!!! May have slightly gone overboard! The wooden heart has been given the nail polish treatment. Of course!
The flowers come from all over - Zeus & Zoe, Meg's Garden, Dusty Attic...
And those Heidi Swapp words. They're so....pretty!!!! From my left-over Crazy Mondays kit.....
I added some masking with Versamark ink, then heat embossed those hexagons for behind the photo...to match in with those already on the page:)
Thanks D'Lish for a wonderful mood board:):)
As always, thanks so much for popping on by ~ Hope you had fun looking!

Once Upon A...Sketch - October Challenge

It's the middle of the month, which means it's time for our reveal over at ONCE UPON A...SKETCH.
This month's challenge is one I think most peeps will be able to relate to:
Journalling Theme:
"The women/girls etc in our lives"
You are free to interpret our theme ANY WAY you like. It is for your inspiration and this theme word DOES NOT need to be part of your title or journalling. But please make sure your layout is based on the sketch below and includes journalling (hidden journalling is fine). Acceptable journalling is MORE than just a sentence, or generic writing such as date/place etc. It needs to be present and at least 3 lines long. Remember, hidden journalling (under a photo/tag or behind your page) is perfectly fine but please DO let us know in your post where your journalling is!
Here's what I created. My Mum stars!!!
Gold heat embossing also stars - no surprise there, right??!!!
And my 3rd Eye fave mask of the moment also stars!!!!
That little bit of purple coloured card? Dusty Attic packaging!!! LOTS of SODAlicious pp, too...
Oh, I dooooo like a bit 'o' flair, too:):) And below is my journaling....felt like doing 'messy writing' for a change!!!
And here's my page:
I do hope you will join us at ONCE UPON A...SKETCH this month:)
Cheers ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

FABULOUS NEWS - NEW DT!!!! And a LO for SCRAPPY CANARY challenge...

Now, before you drop off your seats, remember I'm the girl who LOVES to challenge herself. Many of you have watched my journey with The Colour Purple...& seen me conquer it.....well, would you believe the lovely girls over at DUSTY ATTIC [eeeekkkkkk!!!!!] apparently liked what they saw on my blog & thought I'd fit right in on their team!!! So.....even if I feel inadequate in my ability to use chippy.....the Ones who ought to Know don't!
Dusty Attic
And they sell flowers. Just saying. And paints....& of course, the mostest exciting thing of all is the wonderful, amazingly talented scrappers I'll be working with - including Heather J & McM.....to see who else is on the 2015 team, pop on over HERE.
AND I just gotta share this...the photo they have up of me? Taken by #2 son, who snuck up on me when I was on the phone.....in my NIGHTY!!!! LOL......you'll never look at that photo the same again, will you???!!!!!!
So, whilst 2014 was my 'year of scrap'. 2015 I'm already dubbing the 'year of chippy'. And I'm excited.
So, be prepared to go on another scrappy journey with me. Should be FUN!!!! Who knows which direction it will take me???!!
I was so sad when Life.Paper. Scrapbook closed. I LOOOVED that challenge blog....then, I found out that Manda Moore was actually running a shop & challenge blog over at SCRAPPY CANARY....[NIIIIICE kits!!!].......so I took a peek at their sketch for this month. And joined in!
And here's my page:
Anyone recognise this paper? Older Pink Paislee...I still love it! And their alphas, too:)
The little 'awesome' tab is from Flutterby Designs....the badge is A Flair for Buttons.
Some private journaling is inside the 'memories' bag, & the little golden 'once in a lifetime' sticker comes from the Scrappy Canary kit that I won! Appropriate, I thought:)
A bit more journaling around my stitched & penciled in circle...basically it says that even though you can't see here, Aunty Sheryl & nephew Tim are peas in a pod with their red hair! This was taken at his big bro's wedding last year & I LOOOVE this photo of them both!
So, enough excitement for me to last a year, I think!!!!
Thanks for reading this & being such lovely supporters:)
AND DON'T FORGET my GIVEAWAY...link up top on the sidebar.
