Challenge YOUrself #9 & Beyond Grey Card Challenge #57

I simply HAD to join in with this one...Challenge YOUrself's guidelines this month are to 'Scrap your age, right now, today."
I've called mine 'Aaah this is Life'.
I'd previously 'made' this paper from left over paints - this 3rd Eye mask is the established #1 of the pecking order. And not likely to rescind its place any time soon! You can see it peeking out behind here:
I had a lucky win over at Citrus Kits, so I've used a pile of stickers & the alphas from their kit...& also some enamel dots from a win I had at ScrapStuffz...
The background papers are from a win over at Off The Rails [BEFORE I joined the DT!!] & thanks to Jas Shea for some cute Basic Grey ones:)
I DOOO like wood!!! And see those little wood sequins? Citrus Twist kit.....YUMMO!!!!
A Piece of Cake Designs flair.....they totally 'do it' for me!!!
My journaling:
So, this is me, right now. At 52. Done, OK with you, my scrappy friend Sharon F???!!!!!
I really enjoyed doing this one - especially the paper layering...which, for some reason, always makes me think of Linda E....maybe 'cos she does it so effortlessly!
The card challenge this time round was to use WATER COLOURS....now, that was a challenge. But I think this 'man' card turned out OK:)
Those are little anchor stamps, punched out & then covered in Crackle Glossy Accents. I am SO pleased to have discovered Bostik Multi Bond Glue...it is sooo easy to stick metal onto paper now!
Stamped the image onto watercolour paper & brought my Twinkling H2O's out to play!!!!
Thanks, as always, for taking the time to look & to comment ~ And Happy Scrapping!
Bye for now ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

I'm Off the Rails with an art journal tut...& a CARDABILITIES #105 challenge!

Hi there! Last month I did this art journal page for the challenge over at Scrap Around the World. [& got a 'shout out' for it, too;)!!]
I thought you might be interested in my creative process - which is a little Ad Hoc & totally unplanned.....but that's OK - we're all different, right?
Anyways, if you'd like to take a Captain Cook [a look!!!].... then I'm up with a post at OFF THE RAILS....click the link HERE to go directly there [do not pass go, do not collect $200....!!!] OK, so now I'm being silly as well as Ad Hoc *winks*.......meanwhile......
I did this little challenge:

Now, normally for CARDABILITIES I do flowers - they always work well with their sketches, & it helps alleviate my stash, 'cos I DO find them hard to use on LOs. But this time round I wanted to do something different. So I've used CUPCAKES instead. LOL! Seriously!! Why not, eh???
I got this set AGES ago from a win at Let's Get Trendy, a now defunct challenge blog...never used it [bad girl!]
A man card, I figured....I was pleased with it, really....
And that's it from me today ~ happy scrapping now,
Lizzy ♥♥♥

Some scrappers inspire. I'd spent a little time checking out a video by Fiona Paltridge & one by Riikka Kovasin...& got inspired! So thank you girls.....I basically took Fiona's 'sketch' as a starting point, adding Distress inks as she did...then sort of went from there.
You can see her video HERE.
Riikka had a great idea of pencil sketching around your stamped images. So I took that idea & added some to my sticker feathers!
Her video is up on Els Briges blog. You can find it HERE.
If you'd like to see more of my page, you can pop on over to the 3rd EYE BLOG.......HERE!
Some of their lovely products that I've used on this page include these:

TEM018 geometric pattern        TEST-001 feathers     TEC-038 round frames     TES-234 coffe stains
Thanks for looking - I hope something from this post or these other amazing scrappers inspires you as it has me!!!!

Scrap Our Stash August Challenge

Hi there! Would you believe this is my THIRD attempt at joining in over at SCRAP OUR STASH!?
No, not because I ripped 'em up ---you know me better than that!
Because I kept using the wrong criteria. And it's EASY stuff - just use a SELFIE & either a pre-made or packaged frame from your stash......initially I thought 'selfie' would mean a photo taken of oneself....then the penny dropped....it's one taken of oneself BY oneself.
Then I forgot the frame.
Sooo FINALLY....& it's lucky it doesn't have to be a 'self selfie'.......I did check THAT one!!!!! Cos otherwise I'd be doing attempt #4!!!!!
Anyways, I've done this:
Lookee at that paper.....seriously in lurvvvvvve...Crate Paper from the Citrus Twist kit.....my frame is a Silly one I'd made ages ago, from cereal packaging......
I kept this one simple [well, for me, I mean...]....took my inspiration from the amazing Els Brige....& I thought I'd try & do some more 'artsy', 'European' flavoured closies as well!!!!
The glassine bag with the string is where I have popped my journaling. WILL write it once I talk to Alex & Neri & find out about this pic, which I nicked off FB!!!
 Maggie Holmes metal studs......YUUUMMMMM!!!!

 And below, WOOD sequins.....!!!!!
Did I succeed with the European thing?!!!
Thanks for looking ~ I hope this inspires you in one way or another:)

This sketch was a lovely, easy one to use. I decided to do a Christmas card [yeah, I know, Oh, SOOOOO predictable!!!!].....& make another one using off-cuts since I was doing one anyways.
Oh, yeah. Bright idea Lizzy. Problem was, I think I like the one I was NOT doing for the challenge more! Both followed this sketch:
Soooo....what do I do? Can I enter BOTH? From the rules, it isn't clear. Hmmmnnn.....Anyways, here's my 2 cards. And look how different they are! Which, of course, is the beauty of sketches!!!
Now I'm being lazy - this is how the photos downloaded.....so, a bundle of layered goodies STILL from the SCRAPTASTIC kit I won ages ago!!!
You can't see the gold so well here...but the closie gives you an idea of the sparkle! The paper is a very pale green....soo pretty - old Webster's pages!
And this one:
Gotta love a bit of vellum & wood, right???!!!!
I ran out of the green paper.....!!!! Aaah, blow it! I DO like this one better, so I think this is the one I'll enter!!!
Next challenge - one I really didn't think I'd have a chance to do....but then I came across some GORGEOUS photos of our latest [step for me] Great-grand daughter. Couldn't NOT scrap them.
Worse still, Lindy G gave me a pile of these lovely, LOVELY Bo Bunny papers. PERFECT for this LO!
I scratched & distressed to my heart's content. Loving my long arm reach stapler, too! More stars - must've been a 'starry' sorta day!!!
Layers, little word stickers & BoBunny brads...
Below you can some more stars.....this girl's Mum is an outdoors-y, horse loving girl...so the denim & blues in amongst the pink just seemed 'right' to scrap her wee baby with:)
And she has the cutest name!
 Et voila! Ma page:
Isn't she gooooorgeous? And there were MORE photos on FB....might have to do some other pages!!! And Lindy G KNOWS I looooove check patterns. A weakness I have!
The B71B sketch from Sandra P that I followed:
Well, that's enough rattling on from me today ~ take care ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

My 3rd EYE PL post...

Hi there! Lizzy with you to show you how you can use your 3rd Eye goodies on your Project Life pages!
Above I have used the BIG NUMBERS stamps for the title.
Here is a chipboard frame - & the arrow above is a sticker!
We went north to Queensland on holidays:
The FLAIR BADGE above worked really well with the pole!
Here is another lovely badge & the chipboard arrow has been coloured with Gelatos.
This is my whole page. Unfortunately it wasn't very warm at all:(
Then we went to visit our family, also in Queensland:
A bit warmer & a lovely day at the beach! I had fun stamping ON my photos:)
Thanks for looking! I hope this helps give you some ideas for your own PL pages.....if you're interested in some of the goodies I used, here are some direct links:
