Zeus & Zoe MM OTP project...

...for the uninitiated, the title reads 'Zeus & Zoe Mixed Media Off The Page project....tee hee!!!
Yup, & Sandra, it's USEFUL!! My old Birthday Book, from 1991 died. Fell apart. Did pretty well, I reckon. Sooooo I needed a new place to write down when the birthdays are, & somewhere to pop the cards I make in advance for said birthdays. This worked a treat!
It's quite THICK, so if you had lotsa birthdays, you'd probably need a different type of book, but for me it worked fine:)
Wanna know/see more of what I'm talking about? You know what to do, yes you do! Click HERE...& off you go to visit my post over at Zeus & Zoe. I've sorta done a step by step thingy too:):)
And just to tempt you...well, I hope it does!!! Here's one more sneak:
 Cheers, Lizzy ♥♥♥

CSI 'round up' for March - #113, #114, #115

Hey there! I dunno what's happened...Obviously entered too many challenges. Oops! Run outta days for posting stuff....so 'catch up' time. These CSI case files are now closed...but they have a new one EVERY WEEK...so pop on over there to catch the latest. They're a TAD addictive. Just a tad [Cough! Cough!]
CSI #113 was soft colours & I worked with an envelope for my journaling & also scallops [vellum] & more scallops under that cute PP spotty button:
Got featured with this one! Made me VERY happy!!! Then there was:
CSI #14 was BRIGHT colours, & I worked with rub-ons, the BRILL Em Stafrace Page Drafts sketch, dialogue in my journaling & only cardstock:
I got featured for this one too! The story for this one is in the journaling:
Some of the goodies I've used:
CSI #114
Rainbow Splendour - stars & camera
Purple Pumpkin - washi tape
CSI #113
Goodies from Jasmine S & Mitra P [♥♥♥]
The Trinket Track - pearl stars
Purple Pumpkin - doily, tickets, button, chipboard sentiment & washi tape [whew!!]
Then....just to feel as if I'd completed the month properly, I did #115:
That's stamping & heat embossing on the bg. And NO!  You're not seeing things. They are actual FLOWERS...thanks Mary B [I think!!!]...the big heart at the bottom of the 'bouquet' is stamped cardstock, covered in washi tape then stamped on with a little 'love' stamp using StazOn ink:)

I had to 'free write'...basically write slightly faster than your brain can process...so I did! It was fun:) This all came about 'cos I saw a page done by Kim Price about herself as a flower girl where she wouldn't open her mouth cos of a gappy smile. As you can see. I had no such qualms! So this one is for you, Kim!!!
Happy Scrapping y'all ~ Lizzy

Scrap the Boys - April Challenge & a Card for Feeling Sketchy #87

Hi there, my friends.....the challenge for SCRAP THE BOYS this month is to use flowers. Another VERY challenging challenge....& I must say, this one came together pretty much by itself:)
Because my photo had a lot of black in it, I decided to go with as many of these as I can find...plus some flouro colours for a bit of pop.....all the flowers come from The Trinket Track!
The sequins are attached with Liquid Pearls, & there are splots of Glimmer Glaze in green & yellow around the page:)
The papers & hearts etc are all Studio Calico...I was rather pleased how that stamp 'love you' worked with the number '2'....
And I did some 'free stitching' - basically just stitched how I felt, then fitted the picture in amongst it all!!!
My bro has no children --- but it appears my Tim is a bit of a chip off the old block, family wise - as you can see, above!!!
And since I was using flowers....how about some PRETTY ones, for the FEELING SKETCHY card challenge [last one I got featured, which was a lovely thrill!!]:
I've used VERY old felt flowers, with a lovely resin one from The Trinket Track & that YUMMY stamp is my 3rd Eye fave:)
The sketch:
Thanks for taking a peek at these ones:) And I hope you're having a lovely scrappy time wherever you are in this big wide world ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

Berry71Bleu for APRIL+ a card for the PRETTY LITTLE STUDIO challenge

Hey there! I wasn't going to enter BERRY71BLEU this month 'cos the challenge is to use hand created flowers. Hadeehaha!!! That aint me! HOWEVER.......once upon a time I had a 'craze' at making those satin flowers....& I've got a few hanging around...sooooo.......
That shimmery stuff is Jo Sonya's Opal Dust...love it! Some gesso here as well.
I also used some Charm's Creations handcrafted flowers...altered with the lovely Trinket Track pearl centres:)
And some little butterflies & words tucked around as well. I even made a few muslin flowers with more Trinket Track rhinestone centres:
  And TA-DAAAA!!!!
My whole card. Believe me, this took ages! Much longer than my LOs do - all those layers, & lots of staring at it, wondering what to add & where. Obviously NOT a card that's going to be squished up in an envelope & mailed!!!
However, the one for the PRETTY LITTLE STUDIO challenge CAN be mailed!! For a complete CAS contrast:
Thanks Monique L for putting me onto this one - you don't have to use PLS goodies [just as well - I don't have any:(]....but here's a chance to win some:)!!!!!!
The challenge can be found at this link HERE.

ARTastic for April & A Flower Card for CARDABILITIES #97

First up, my CARDABILITIES Card. Flowers. Trying to use 'em up!!!
The sketch:

And, as usual, the challenges are fun & the inspiration interesting over at ARTastic. Here's the pic:
APRIL inspiration from Charles Blackman - The Chess Game
And the challenge - to scrap fun, funny or silly photos. Well, I had this one of Lucas. It's blurry - but I had to be quick to even catch him...& I think it's scrappable. I hope you agree!
Giggle! I've taken the colours from the pic, as well as the checks from the chess board...LOTS of stamping. I literally pulled all my stamps out & randomly added them ....the mask is one I bought at the recent Papercraft show....a no name, but I LOOOVE it....
the orange embossing is with a Bo Bunny stamp I also got at the show.....& below, some BARB WIRE washi......there's a story to that, but let's just say THANK YOU Sandra Wallace [winks!!!].....
Some stamps I added onto cardstock then punched out....& below is a Greatest View flair........
A few Liquid Pearl drops around the page...& yes! Got that colour at the craft show, too!!!!!
That 'Perfect Moment' stamp is one I recently got from 3rd Eye & use a LOT!!!
And, of course, what's a page without some wooden bits & bobs??!!!
Thanks for checking these ones out....I feel soooo blessed that you are so nice to me & leave such lovely comments. Thank you:):)

Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge & 1-2-3 Get Scrappy!

Hi there! Hoping everyone is enjoying what's left of their Easter break....today I'm doing something I RARELY do...entering the one LO into these two fabulous challenges.....because I'm 'allowed' to; & because the month is closing down too darn quick!!! So, over at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge we have this VERY nice sketch:
And over at 1-2-3  Get Scrappy  [I don't think I've joined in there much...but I always look!!!]
I've used the journaling/yellow bg/ something silver line.....& came up with this:
This has a LOT of significance...& if someone wants LOTS of journaling...them I'm only to happy to oblige [insert evil laughter!]...having said that, I've hidden it on the orange-ish index cards behind the pic....
This is really The Story of Tim's Overseas Adventures/ Journey so far:) And how I LONG to see the East Coast USA in autumn...as he has done...see LO for evidence. Magical!
Some closies, as this is HEAVILY MM with LOTSA bg layers....texture paste, masking, heat embossing, stamping.....the usual guff!
Mitra Pratt....THANK YOU for the woodsy silver thing, from a looong time ago! Tickles me that it found a home on a USA page;)
A while ago I won a giveaway over at Natalie May's blog....lotsa lovely metal...the keys just seemed 'right' for this page...silvered up with Inka Gold...
And that little owl if from the Trinket Track....Monica B has LOVELY metal for sale there, too:)
Oh, & I've used a mix of Heidi Swapp colour shine, Dylusions & Gelatos on this page~
hope you enjoy a NON peep Page for a change!

OFF THE RAILS - new challenge is up!

We have a gorgeous colour palette & sketch challenge up at OFF THE RAILS:
And the colours:
 Here's what I created:
A lovely eclectic mix of elements including a 'bouquet' of stick pins wrapped in washi tape, some fussy cut balloon stamps & Heidi Swapp ephemera [since I was using her paper!!]. Tucked in is my 'fave' star stamp from 3rd Eye:)
I decided to do some 'butterfly trails' instead of all the little hearts...so out came my Purple Pumpkin twine:)
And I've tucked some chippy [win from Dusty Attic] underneath my photo, too....I got gesso all over my 1st photo, so I had to print off a 2nd one & lay it over top. OOOPS!!!
The Dear Lizzy [how appropriate!!] chippy title is a gift from Sandra S...THANK YOU...barely recognisable, as I was trying to change its colour WITHOUT adding a base coat of gesso.
Of course, that didn't work...the ink sorta 'pooled' so I whacked on some white embossing powder & this is what I got!
I've also rubbed some pink Gelato in to give it some 'depth'. I thought it turned out OK, in the end *winks*!!
This challenge runs for 2 weeks  & we have an amazingly FABULOUS prize from FLOURISH WITH A BLING!!!!
Gotta be in it to win it:) We'd LOVE to see you join the fun at OFF THE RAILS:)
Cheers ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥
