As you probably all know by now, I won a veritable treasure trove of goodies from Z&Z in the recent BERRY71BLEU blog hop...so how could I NOT use some of them up in this VINTAGE IMAGE/MIXED MEDIA challenge:):) And, as my friend Mitra says, in the interests of keeping it real, of course I will go in this one as she provided the image & criteria! And it's a gorgeous image. I've used it as a 'jumping off' point & also as an image transfer on my OTP project. Here's the image:
And here is how it looks now:
Keys, buttons & pin from Z&Z...with the heart pin from SANDRA...ribbons from Vanuatu Scrap booking shop!!!! I've got lots of layers & also image transferred the ladies [Simplicity sewing pattern front] & the lady with the dog & Eiffel tower were glitter stickers that I've gessoed/inked at the bottom. The Eiffel has been texture pasted, then embossed. Lots of layers, stamps....you name it. It IS mixed media, after all!!! Oh, & the best bit? The shimmer paint over the top:):):) Very girly!!!
Some close ups & 'process' photos:
Hope that wasn't too boring! I've got the last couple of photos of the month:
DAY 29 - SOFT:
My throw for cold nights...& it has a chevron pattern! Not fashionable when I got it, that I recall!!!
DAY 30 - A FRIEND:
Chocolates in a cute bag...& whilst choc's ARE my friend, the significance is Mary popped around last night with these - most uneccessary, unexpected & a pleasant, yummy surprise...& that's what friends are all about:):) So thank you, Mary, for being my friend...& for the choccies:):):) Rather pleased with this piccy, too. Love the sun behind....
And just one more thing....DH got sick of me putting paper on the floor of my scrappy room to dry....I'm always shouting 'Watch where you're walking!'....so today he made me a little bench for drying stuff on etc...it's a bit 'rustic' - but that's what I like best.....
He also made me a Washi tape tree....next post! Think that you've done Very Well getting through this:):)
