Guest Designing for NOVEMBER 123 CHALLENGE & an entry in SCRAP AROUND THE WORLD CHALLENGE:

I was VERY happy to be asked to GDT for this month's
So, I have used navy cardstock. Unusual these days to
use anything but white or patterned, but hey! Nice to be
different:)
Added a little stenciling on the bg. And of COURSE we have
to have a flair - c/- Freckled Fawn this time around:)
And here are my paper rolls. I used some of that lighter white paper that comes
with those 12x12 plastic sleeves, with a stencil & Heidi Swapp ink spray:
Tania B had tied a bundle of sticks up on a LO of
hers I saw, so I adapted this idea for my rolls. V happy
with how they turned out!
The journaling was done in bits & pieces:
 You've probably gathered by now
that I've done a multi photo spread, too.
Taking a pile of different sized photos from different times.
I wanted to show you it can be done. A change from those
one photo LOs!
Now, here's some SCRAPPY HINTS from this page:
  • It's possible to create a multi photo spread, using different occasions and times, by finding at THEME that ties them together - in this case 'happy'.
  • CUT your photos down, creating different sizes, using a 'step' approach for your design.
  • Journal with small word processor font - it takes less room. Make it feature as an embellishment to your page.
  • Don't mount your photos - you haven't room. Instead, either ink around the edges or on a dark background as here, sand the edges.
  • Create more depth by mounting the photos with dimensional tape.
  • Keep clusters to a minimum, so the page doesn't get too crowded.
  • You can use a large title. It helps 'balance' the photo spread.
I hope this is helpful information... & if you've never used paper rolls [like me!]... then have a go at the 123 CHALLENGE....it is FUN!!!

SCRAP AROUND THE WORLD
Another way-fun challenge!

I've taken the hearts, blue, the white wash effect, typography, wood grain & silver!
I used bubble wrap with Gesso, to give a white wash effect:
Below you can see the 'mwah' done with my Dymo labeller to get
some typography in....the blue hearts are with gelato color
through a stencil:
I LOOOOVE that blue glitter tape & I've dotted some silver glue 'dots' around too:
Such a CUTE bubba [step great grandson in NZ!]
Below I've got a die cut I made up myself:
 Those resin hearts....adore them!
The whole page:
Really happy with how this turned out.
Such a fun photo to scrap!!!
Hope you get a chance to join in with SATW this month!!
Happy Scrapping!
Lizzy ♥♥♥

  1. You have such a way of creating special textural backgrounds that just flow so well with the overall design aesthetic and theme. The first one - those textural circles reminded me of carbuncles on a beach - love it - and then the explosion of color and white bursts in the second - PERFECT for the theme of the show!
