K+ challenge for June ~ ROAR!!

Roar as in this:
Now, I can tell you, for me this WAS a challenge!
And I forgot to use Kraft paper. That was a DUH moment.
So, after creating a 'faux' jungle print in pink on white paper.....I cut a big chunk up & popped it on the Kraft paper.
And you know what? I liked it even better!!!
Found some felt in the Op Shop.....& cut out some hearts!!!
For the circle element, I stitched a freehand circle around the photo.....again and again and again.
Sort of like going round & round a roundabout. Please tell me you've done that? Just for fun? It's awesome!!!
My journaling. This one is for my step Grandgirl who is in London living and working.
Her Mum in NZ is the 'Keeper of the Albums' & happy to do so!!!
Please note the black/white animal print below - I found a PL card with it on. Phew!!
And my title....you know the song? 'Hey babe.....take a walk on the wild side'..........
I added some YUMMY silver glitter tape. Love that stuff!!!
 And my whole page:
So, how about you? Wanna take a walk on the wild side & show us your jungle animal within???!!!!
Remember, cards, digi pages, journals are all welcome. Just remember to use your Kraft cardstock!!!
Challenge link is HERE.
PRIZES are from SCRAP FX & SCRAPHAPPY KAT
SASSY SCRAPPER & CHARM'S CREATIONS

  13. Animal prints are a challenge for me, that's for sure. But I love how you have used them to highlight those smiling faces. Pretty wild! I'm going to be singing now, for the rest of the night..

  14. love this Lizzy - I forgot the Kraft BG paper in the last challenge too and had to be 'creative' lol!!! Glad I'm in good company! Im always doing pages for the CSI DT and forgetting to check the 'criteria' too - so I have to add bits to my page at the end and re-photograph it! It got so bad that my little kids ask me 'Is this page for CSI ?' If I say yes, then they say 'Dont forget to check the journaling criteria and add the right pretties' lol ! Love your hand cut title - the whole page just gels together so well. Got to admit this one will challenge me - I dont have any animal print paper at all! May have to raid the kids origami papers :)

  17. I love your stitching that goes round and round ;-) Have never managed to get it done though I tried...I just go back to my handstitching neat little circles...that is just me. Love this page and all the bits and bobs you added xx

  18. I am having a giggle on forgetting kraft, THAT is something I'd do. Love the huge circle and that song! Super pretty that pink!

  19. Now THAT's how you incorporate animal print. The design is a little raw - I'm crushing on the scribbled circle and homemade pink cheetah print. GORGEOUS!

  20. what a fabulous LO... loving the circular stitching work... and the animal print - you rocked this challenge!
AND yes, you... off to your retreat - hey! About time!!! And yes, definitely pack kits - CKC's taught me how to pack for retreats.. best thing ever!! Pack a few counterfeit kits and throw in a heap of photos... and off you go!! So much better then pre-packing everything - too stressful! I think I've tried every which way - and CKC way is the clear winner for me - I even looked up all sorts of kits myself to counterfeit - loved every minute of it :) Its a challenge in itself.

  21. A fun and super page....love that circle sewing and so super that you managed to add the kraft paper, that you needed! I do "forgets" like that too sometimes and then also have to make some rather major adjustments!!! LOL...but a super result, love that pink elephant too! ;-)
