Challenge YOUrself #9 & Beyond Grey Card Challenge #57

I simply HAD to join in with this one...Challenge YOUrself's guidelines this month are to 'Scrap your age, right now, today."
I've called mine 'Aaah this is Life'.
I'd previously 'made' this paper from left over paints - this 3rd Eye mask is the established #1 of the pecking order. And not likely to rescind its place any time soon! You can see it peeking out behind here:
I had a lucky win over at Citrus Kits, so I've used a pile of stickers & the alphas from their kit...& also some enamel dots from a win I had at ScrapStuffz...
The background papers are from a win over at Off The Rails [BEFORE I joined the DT!!] & thanks to Jas Shea for some cute Basic Grey ones:)
I DOOO like wood!!! And see those little wood sequins? Citrus Twist kit.....YUMMO!!!!
A Piece of Cake Designs flair.....they totally 'do it' for me!!!
My journaling:
So, this is me, right now. At 52. Done, OK with you, my scrappy friend Sharon F???!!!!!
I really enjoyed doing this one - especially the paper layering...which, for some reason, always makes me think of Linda E....maybe 'cos she does it so effortlessly!
BEYOND GREY #57
The card challenge this time round was to use WATER COLOURS....now, that was a challenge. But I think this 'man' card turned out OK:)
Those are little anchor stamps, punched out & then covered in Crackle Glossy Accents. I am SO pleased to have discovered Bostik Multi Bond Glue...it is sooo easy to stick metal onto paper now!
Stamped the image onto watercolour paper & brought my Twinkling H2O's out to play!!!!
Thanks, as always, for taking the time to look & to comment ~ And Happy Scrapping!
Bye for now ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥
GOODIES FROM & THANKS TO:

  1. I love that layout. And the layering is beauitful (Linda E is definitely the queen of layering!). It all comes together really well with the bold outlining. I've only recently had a closer look at Off The Rails. Wow, you ladies over there kick some serious scrapping butt!
p.s. I went to the Paperific Expo yesterday and I met a couple of other seriously awesome ladies - Heather McMahon and Beck Beattie. And yes, you can guess I was like a silly school girl introducing myself to them. It was the best (and totally embarrassing!)

  4. Not sure if this is the spot to comment on the card, but it's stunning....a new fave with the vibrant colours and those metal thingies across the top. The anchor and the metal yacht are the perfect embellies :D

  13. That lovely page has brought me up short and made me realise it's been several years since I did an age page. Which is wrong, obviously..because I think this is the best kind of scrapbooking
